Miso Soup and Me -The Sky and Ocean-

As a born mountain boy,
Whenever finding a blue ocean,
I can’t resist saying aloud
Wow, this is so beautiful.

Yet we must know
That the ocean looks blue
Because the sky is blue.

Delicious miso soup owes its taste
To a cook’s hint of time and effort.
Yet we must remember
A great deal of time and effort
Of someone who makes miso.

It is true
Nobel prize winners,
Bill Gates and (Steve) Jobs,
Are all heroes.
They are all geniuses.
Still it is also true
All these super heroes are supported
By the others’ enormous time and effort.

The ocean looks blue
Because the sky is blue.

You and I

Who is the ocean
And who is the sky,
Which I can’t tell.

If we keep moving forward
Hand in hand
Through thin and thick,
It is all enough.
