Somalia is in the grip of（～に見舞われる）the worst drought since the 1980s.  Hundreds of thousands of people many trapped by （～で身動きできなくなっている）conflict are facing extreme hunger and death. 

ソマリアは1980年代以来最悪の干ばつに見舞われています。 何十万人もの人々が、紛争の影響で極度の飢餓と死に直面しています。 

The Indonesian President Joko Widodo is visiting the city of Malang which on Saturday suffered one of the world's deadliest football stadium disasters.  Police now say 131 people were killed.

インドネシアのジョコ・ウィドド大統領は、土曜日にサッカースタジアムで世界最大級の災害が発生したMalangを訪問しています。警察は現在、131人が死亡したと発表しています。 

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukrainian troops are making rapid and powerful advances against Russian forces.  He asserted that in the past week alone dozens of settlements （入植地）had been recaptured in the South and East.

Liz Truss will use her 1st Conferences speech as Conservative leader to argue that the disruption caused by her economic policies will be worth it.  She's also due to say growth sparked by her tax cutting plans will create a new Britain.
