Russia says it’s ready to end ties with the European Union
ロシアはヨーロッパ連合と関係を絶つ準備完了
LONDON — Russia has said it is ready to cut ties with the European Union, according to a fragment of an interview published on Russia’s foreign ministry website Friday morning. The comments mark yet another escalation in tensions between the two sides.
ロンドンー金曜日の朝、ロシアの外務省が投稿したインタビューの一部によると、ロシアはヨーロッパ連合と関係を断つ準備が出来ている事が明かされた。この表明に対する両サイドのコメントにより、関係がより緊迫した。
“We don’t want to isolate ourselves from global life, but we have to be ready for that. If you want peace then prepare for war,” Lavrov added.
「私たちは国際社会から孤立したくないが、その状況に準備をしなければならない。もし平和を維持したいなら、戦争の準備が必要だ。」とラブロフ外相は述べた。
The relationship between Russia and the EU hit a new low last week when the EU’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, visited his counterpart in Moscow.
ロシアとヨーロッパ連合の関係はヨーロッパ連合の外務大臣のジョセップ・ボレルがモスクワの外務大臣と対面し、関係が緊迫した。
Analysts have told CNBC that the latest differences between Moscow and the EU could put pressure on the gas pipeline being built from Russia to Germany, Nord Stream 2.
解析者たちはCNBCに、最近のモスクワとヨーロッパ連合の対立は、現在ロシアからドイツへ建設されている、Nord Stream 2. というガスのパイプラインに関しての懸念が増大する予測をした。
Borrell went to voice the EU’s opposition to the arrest of Alexei Navalny, a fierce critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, he accused Russia of putting together “an aggressively-staged press conference” during his trip.

Russia Threatens To Cut Ties With EU If Sanctions Are Imposed Over Jailing Of Navalny
ロシア、ナワリヌイの逮捕において、EUがロシアに対して政策をしたら、関係を断つと、脅す。
Russia said Friday that it is prepared to cut ties with the European Union if the bloc slaps economic sanctions on the Kremlin in retaliation for the detention of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
金曜日、ロシアは、ヨーロッパ連合がクレムリン（プーチン）の野党党首アレクセイ・ナワリヌイの逮捕に関して、経済的政策を制定する事態があったら、関係をきる準備をしていると発表した。
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was asked in an interview on the Russian YouTube channel Solovyov Live whether Moscow is moving toward severing ties with the EU.
外務省のセルゲイ・ラブロフは、ロシアのユーチューブチャンネル "Solovyov Live" でのインタビューで、ヨーロッパ連合と関係を断つ傾向に進んでいるか聞かれた。
"We proceed from the fact that we're ready [for that]. In the event that we again see sanctions imposed in some sectors that create risks for our economy, including in the most sensitive spheres," he said.
「私たちはもう準備ができている。もし私たちの経済、また特に敏感な範囲にへリスクをもたらすような政策を制定した場合だろう。」と述べた。

Russia Ready to Cut Ties With Europe – Foreign Minister
外務大臣ーロシアはヨーロッパと関係を断つ準備完了
Russia is ready to cut ties with the European Union if it imposes further sanctions on the Russian economy, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday.
木曜日、ロシアはヨーロッパ連合が経済的な政策をロシアに対して制定する場合、関係をきる準備ができている、と外務大臣のセルゲイ・ラブロフは述べた。
The heated rhetoric comes 10 days before top EU diplomats are scheduled to discuss new travel bans and asset freezes on President Vladimir Putin’s allies in response to the jailing of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny after his nerve-agent poisoning.
この激しい討論はヨーロッパ連合の大使たちが野党党首アレクセイ・ナワリヌイの毒殺未遂と逮捕の反応として、ウラジーミル・プーチン大統領の側近の資産凍結また新しい旅行禁止令について話し合う予定の１０日前に起こった。
The Kremlin said at Friday’s briefing that Lavrov’s words had been misinterpreted, but stressed that Russia must get ready for “independence if madness prevails.”
クレムリンは金曜日の報告では、ラブロフの言葉は誤解されたと述べた。だが、ロシアはもし「狂気が起こるなら、独立だ。」と強調した。
Borrell’s rare Moscow visit last week coincided with Russia's expulsion of diplomats from three European countries accused of attending recent street demonstrations in support of Navalny.
