これからのライフスタイル。

　晴れた日が続いてお出かけになっている人が多いようですが、みなさんはいかがお過ごしでしょうか。私は一人まちをうろつきながら遠目で観察作業をしています。

　さて、久々の都会生活を過ごしていますが1年間も離れていると色々なことが見えてきます。これまで当たり前のことだと思っていたことに違和感を感じることが多い自分に驚くことばかりです。恐らく新入社員に求められていることの１つにこの違和感を入った組織に伝えることではないでしょうか。それをキャッチできるかどうかは経営者の資質次第だとは思いますが…。

　私はこれまで日本一便利なところに住んでいたので、正直地方を馬鹿にしていたところがあります。郵便局も病院も学校もすべて徒歩圏内にあります。さらには有名百貨店や映画館まであるので、現代生活を営むのに何ら不自由はありません。

　しかし、地方で２年間過ごしてくるとその当たり前の光景に違和感を感じます。端的に言えばすべて空虚に見えてしまうのです。まず、最初に目についたのが高級車の多さです。地方では車は生活用品であり、華美に装飾する必要はありません。むしろ故障せずに走れることの方が重要です。ところが、都会では競い合うかのように高級車に乗っています。地下鉄やバス等の他の交通手段がたくさんあるにも関わらずです。なぜ、そこまでして高級車に乗りたいのでしょうか。その1つの要因が自己顕示欲ではないかと思います。人々の行動を観察していると少しでも上に行こうとか、人よりも早く目的地に行こうとする行為をよく目にします。地方ではあまり見られない風景です。しかし、都会にずっといるといつの間にか自分も同じような行為をしていました。これではみな疲れてしまいます。もちろん競争が好きな人もいるでしょう。しかし、私はどちらかという競争は苦手な方です。

　その点からいくと地方の方が競争はあまりありません。むしろ助け合っていかないと生きていけない部分もあります。私は決してどちらかがよいと大事とという議論をするつもりはありません。（こういうことを言うと「責任逃れ」と言われるのとてもイヤなのですが。）

　今、地方創生が声高に言われ多くの税金が投じられています。これは都会に集まった富の再分配の機能もあると思いますが、そもそもお金よる活性化では効果が限定的だと考えます。「関係人口」という言葉がもてはやされていますが、私はこれもあまり好ましいと思っていません。関係人口の接頭語に「お金による」という言葉見え隠れして仕方ないのです。それよりかは「信頼による」という言葉が前提条件にある関係人口を増やすべきだと思いますが、みなさんはどう思われますか？

　「ふるさとは遠きにありて思ふもの」という言葉がありますが、一体ふるさととは何なのか。今回の帰省はそのことを改めて考える機会になったと思います。

　（うちの近くにはユニクロ旗艦店が３件もあります。ユニクロいっぱいの都会最高。やばい！つい本音が出てしまう准教授でした。）

Future lifestyle.

 It seems that many people go out on consecutive sunny days. How are you doing? I'm observing from a distance while wandering around the town alone.

 Well, I've been living in a city for the first time in a long time, but when I'm away for a year, I can see many things. I am always surprised that I often feel uncomfortable with things that I have taken for granted. Perhaps one of the things new employees are expected to do is to convey this sense of incongruity to the organization. Whether they can catch that or not depends on the quality of management .

 I used to live in the most convenient place in Japan, so to be honest, I used to look down on the countryside. The post office, the hospital and the school are all within walking distance. In addition, there are famous department stores and movie theaters, so there is no inconvenience to live a modern life.

 However, after spending two years in the countryside, I feel uncomfortable with this natural scene. In short, everything looks empty. The first thing I noticed was the number of luxury cars. In the countryside, cars are daily necessities and don't need fancy decorations. It is more important to be able to run without breaking down. However, they are riding luxury cars as if they are competing. Even though there are many other means of transportation such as subways and buses. Why do you want to drive such a luxury car? I think one of the reasons is the desire for self-expression. When I watch people's behavior, I often see them trying to go up even a little, or trying to get to their destination faster than others. It is a scenery that you can hardly see in the countryside. But when I was in the city all the time, before I knew it, I was doing the same thing. This will make everyone tired. Of course, some people like competition. However, I am not good at competition.

 In that respect, there is less competition in rural areas. On the contrary, there are parts that we cannot live without helping each other. I never intend to argue that one is important. (I hate it when people say things like this and say "evade responsibility.".)

 Now, local revitalization is being talked about loudly and a lot of taxes are being spent. I think this has the function of redistributing the wealth gathered in the city, but I think the effect is limited by activation by money. The word "related population" is all the rage, but I don't really like it either. We can't help but see the word "by money" in the prefix of the population concerned. Rather than that, I think we should increase the number of people involved, whose precondition is based on trust. What do you think?

 There is a saying, "Hometown is far away, but what is it?". I think this trip home gave me an opportunity to think about it again.

(There are three UNIQLO flagship stores near my house. The city full of Uniqlo is the best. Oh, no! I couldn't help but get the truth out of me.)
