Quarantine Diary 4/29/20

４２日目！今日は起きられなかった〜。また曇りに戻っちゃった…。まぁいつも四月はこんな感じかもしれないな。ぐずぐずといつまでも肌寒い。五月になったら気持ち良い晴れが続くはず。でもそしたら今度は家にいるのがしんどくなるかなぁ。

隔離生活で夫が食べられていない好物はピザ、と昨日書いたけれどとわたしはフライドポテト（フレンチフライ）だ。ニューヨークのは、厚めに切ったものにマヨネーズかケチャップを添えるのが多いかな。バーに行くとついつい頼んじゃう。おいしいけど家ではめんどくさいしつくりたくないな〜って思ってたら夫がハッシュドポテトを作ってくれた！正しくはハッシュドブラウンというのだって。にんにくとバターが効いていて大人の味。
アメリカのダイナーで出て来るもののアップグレード版みたいな朝食。ダイナーだと、白パンにオレンジもフロリダ産の黄色いのがひと切れ、それに全部ノンオーガニック。コーヒーもアメリカンな薄いのがついてきて。でも何回でも注いでくれるんだ。あー、外食も楽しいですね、やっぱり。

今日も朝からメールやらの仕事、洗濯（ついにシーツも洗い終わった！）、夫のミーティングはキャンセルに。夫はスウドクSUDOKUにはまっている。日本ではナンプレというんですね。なんか携帯見ながらぶつぶつ言ってるなと思うとだいたいこれ。一問にかかる時間が少なくなるのが嬉しいんだって。

午後はまた夫に髪を切ってもらいました。整えるくらいだけど、夫は前回よりだいぶ自信がついたようで、バシバシ切ってました。ケープの代わりにゴミ袋かぶろうって思っていたのに忘れてた…。着ていたTシャツがえらいことに。わたしの硬い髪があちこち刺さっている。掃除機でも完璧には吸えない。
美容院には存続して欲しいけれど、いかなくたってなんとかなる。美容師さんたち、セルフカットの方法とかビデオ見ながら教えてくれないかな。需要ありそうだけどな。

そして夫は好物のピザを手に入れました！この生活に入って初めて頼むデリバリー。なんと六週間三食ずっと自炊し続けたことになる。えらい、わたしたち。
夢中でばくばく食べてました。よかったね〜！二人ともアメリカンな好物を食べられて、薄曇りだけど良い日でした。

Day 42! We couldn't wake up this morning. It's a gray day again... Well April in NY is always like this. We will have sunny days in May.

Yesterday I wrote that my husband's favorite food that he cannot eat during quarantine is pizza. Mine is french fries. I miss it but I don't want to make it in our kitchen. And so my husband made hushed brown for me! (I thought it is called hushed potato because of the menu of McDonald.) So our breakfast looked like a better version of Dinner's. It would be non-organic, and with white bread, Florida orange, and American coffee... Agh, I guess I miss eating out. But I am so happy that he made this for me, and it was delicious.

I wrote many emails, did laundry(finally done with the big pile plus sheets!). My husband's online meeting was canceled. He started playing SUDOKU. He's happy that his time is getting short.

He did my haircut again in the afternoon. He's really getting better and also becoming much more confident. My hair is hard to clean afterwords. I forgot to prepare cape or something... I will remember next time.
I hope the hair salons will survive this, but also haircut is not something you risk your life for... What if they will have a zoom tutorial for the self cut? It will be a good service, I think.

Aaaand, my husband got a pizza!! After 6 weeks, we finally had a delivery! I can't believe that we've been cooking three times a day whole 6 weeks!! He was so happy and that makes me happy. He deserved it. It was gray, but it turned out a happy day that we both had our favorite food!
