Quarantine Diary 7/19/20

１２３日目。
昨日は海、今日は山！とお隣のニュージャージー州の公園へ。
ハドソン川沿いの州立公園です。
崖の上と下、両方にドライブウェイがあって、ハイキングもできるところ。
ピーナッツバターとジャムのサンドイッチ、フルーツ、飲み物を持って。

夫が仕事でたまに通るところなので、簡単に行けると思ってあまり調べずに行ったのですが、甘く見過ぎました。
高速降りるところがわからなかったり、実際行ってみると道が途中で封鎖されていたり。電波が悪くてグーグルマップが使えなかったり。
公園は想像以上に人出も多く、みんなほとんどマスクもしていなくて、あまり安心して楽しめませんでした。残念〜。

でも代わりに、高速の脇にある場所から、ハドソン川を見て満足。
夫はここを通るたびにユウコと一緒に来たいなぁと思っていたそう。

外は３４度。冷房なしの車に長時間乗るのは危険ということも学びました。
冷房を修理するか、暑い時間は乗らないか、何か工夫しないと。

帰ってきて、水分をたくさんとって涼しい部屋でのんびり。
お出かけの良いところは、自宅に居るのがさらに楽しくなるところ。
次はもっと人の居ないところに行こう。

明日からの週はいろんな予定が入っている。ひとつずつを楽しむ！

Day 123. 
Today we went to the palisades interstate park. 
We packed peanuts batter and jelly sandwiches, some fruits, and water. 
As he sometimes passes there when he's driving to the upstate work site, we thought it will be easy, but we should've done some research. 
When we got there, the driveway was closed, the park was crowded...
And not many people were wearing masks.

Instead, we stopped at lookout on the highway. And it was nice. He always wanted to take me there when he saw this small place. It sure is a nice place.

On the way home, we were so hot as the AC wasn't working well. It was 94 outside, and it was dangerous. Today we learned lessons. 
We need some research, and we should not go to drive when it is this hot, or we should fix the AC. 

But going out makes staying home much nicer. We drank a lot of water, and rested in a cold room.
We will go somewhere less people next week!
