Easy way to develop your productive habits

Today, I'd like to introduce you to two of the following

1. The power of "habit"
2. A technique for building productive new habits

The power of "Habit" is extraordinarily amazing.
If someone asks me "What are the most important things you can do to change their life?" I would definitely say "Develop productive habits"

There is no other easy way to change your life.

Even though you decided to do something after getting inspired by reading a book or seminar.  Only a small percentage of people can achieve it. Most the people end up going back to their normal life. 

Why is it always like that..? The answer is...

Most people don't build a habit...

Successful people don't just do without thinking but they build new habits at first.

Once you build new habits, your dream will automatically come true. 

Examples of a successful person's habit.

If they want to lose some weight, they get into a new habit.
If they want to save some money, they get into a new habit.
If they want to improve the relationship with someone, they get into a new habit.
If they want to change their personal character, they get into a new habit.
If they want to improve their life, they get into a new habit.

All successful people are good at building new habits.

They're doing well, not because they're a genius but because they're good at building new habits. But it's not easy to build new habits.

If you are not good at building new habits, do not worry about it. 

Today, I would like to introduce a technique for building new habits. This technique will make it pretty easy to create new habits.

That technique is the "If-Then" Plan.

The "If-Then" Plan

Just decide [If you do A, then do B] and note it somewhere.

For example, 
"If you take a train, Read a book". 
"If you commute, listen to audio-book". 

Just by doing this, your success rate will be 2 or 3 times greater.

If-Then Planning has been shown to be dramatically effected in several studies.

Columbia University's Research

One of the studies is done by Columbia University's that people who want to make the habit of exercising were divided into below two groups.

- The group did the If-Then Plan.
- The group set their own goals.

The result  +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

For those who set their own goals, 69% of them failed to make it a habit.

On the other side, for those who did the If-Then plan, only 9% of them failed to make it a habit.

This means that 91% of them have succeeded in getting into the habit of exercising.


Action Plan 

If you are not living a life that you'd like to, you probably haven't developed good habits.  Please make your own habits using If-Then planning starting from small ones.  So you will be one step closer to the life you've always wanted.
