ビジネスで使ってみたいフレーズ。～を代表して（の代わりに）
わが社を代表してお礼申し上げます、的な感じでしょうか。
behalfには「利益」の意味もあって、「～の（利益の）ために」という意味でも使われるようですが、とりあえず「代表」と覚えておけほぼほぼOKかと。

＜例文＞
I would like to thank you on behalf of our company.
All coworkers of mine refused to make a speech at the party, so I made it on behalf of them. I was so embarrassed.

「の代わりに」の意味合いでは、instead ofに近いですが、instead ofは主に物、on behalf ofは主に人に使わるようです。
