≪英訳≫

In the eighteenth year of the Emperor’s reign, on the tenth day of the eighth month, Mononobe no Ushiro no Sukune (物部菟代宿禰) and Mononobe no Me no Muraji (物部目連) were sent to attack Asake-no-Iratsuko(朝日郎) in Ise. Asake-no-Iratsuko, hearing of the approach of the imperial forces, met them at Aohaka in Iga to engage in battle. Boasting of his archery skills, he challenged the imperial forces, saying, "Who can withstand the hand of Asake-no-Iratsuko?"

The arrows he shot pierced through double layers of armor, causing fear among the imperial soldiers. Ushiro no Sukune did not dare to advance, and the standoff lasted for two days and one night. At this point, Mononobe no Me no Muraji took a large sword himself and ordered Mononobe no Oonote (物部大斧手) from Tsukushi, who was skilled with a shield, to charge. Asake-no-Iratsuko, seeing them from a distance, shot through Ōonote’s shield and double armor, penetrating an inch into his flesh. Ōonote protected Mononobe no Me no Muraji with his shield, allowing Me no Muraji to capture and kill Asake-no-Iratsuko.

Because of this, Ushiro no Sukune, ashamed of his failure, did not report back for seven days. The Emperor, wondering why Ushiro no Sukune had not returned, asked his ministers. Sanuki no Tamushi Wake (讚岐田蟲別) stepped forward and explained:

"Ushiro no Sukune was too afraid to advance and could not capture Asake-no-Iratsuko during the two days and one night. It was Mononobe no Me no Muraji, leading Ōonote, who captured and killed Asake-no-Iratsuko"

Hearing this, the Emperor became angry and confiscated the Itsukaibe (猪使部) from Ushiro no Sukune, giving it to Mononobe no Me no Muraji.

In the nineteenth year, on the thirteenth day of the third month, the Emperor decreed the establishment of the Anaho-Be( Department  穴穗部) to commemorate Emperor Anaho (穴穂天皇 あなほのすめらみこと 安康天皇).

(在位)十八年の八月十日、物部菟代宿禰（もののべのうしろのすくね）と物部目連（もののべのめのむらじ）が伊勢の朝日郎（あさけのいらつこ）を討つために派遣されました。朝日郎は官軍が近づいていることを聞き、伊賀の青墓で迎え撃ちました。弓の腕を誇り、「朝日郎の手にかかって、誰が耐えられるか」と官軍に挑戦しました。

このため、菟代宿禰は自分が果たせなかったことを恥じ、七日間報告しませんでした。天皇は菟代宿禰が報告しない理由を尋ねました。讃岐の田虫別（さぬきのたむしわけ）が進み出て申しました。「菟代宿禰は怖じけて進まず、二日一夜の間、朝日郎を捕えることができませんでした。それを物部目連が物部大斧手を率いて進み、朝日郎を捕え斬りました」と。

天皇はこれを聞いて怒り、菟代宿禰の所有していた猪使部（いつかいべ）を没収し、物部目連に与えました。

(在位)十九年の三月十三日、天皇は詔を発し、安康天皇（穴穂天皇 あなほのすめらみこと）の名を記念して穴穂部（あなほべ）を設立されました。
