ちょこっと英語日記【宅配ボックスが必須だよ。の巻】

１、先ずは日本語で。

最近、アマゾンでよく買い物をしてるんやけどな。
私の家、宅配ボックスがなくて、不在時に届くと受け取られへんねん。
ポストの不在連絡票に連絡して再配達を依頼するんやけど、いつも配達員の人に悪い気持ちになる。。。
やっぱり宅配ボックスは必須やんな。。

いつも「悪いな。」って気持ちになんねん。
特に時間指定できない時とか。。。

「不在の時」ってなんて言おうかな。

２、グーグル先生と相談。

Recently, I often go shopping on the Internet,such as Amazon.
But, I don’t have a big mail box, so I can’t receive merchandises when I am out of the house.
I always call a delivery person to redelivery that, and I feel so bad.
A big mail box is necessary for us nowadays!

３、ネイティブ先生からの添削。

1)‎Recently, I've been shopping on the Internet, like on Amazon.
However, I don’t have a big mailbox, so I'm unable to receive merchandise whenever I am out of the house.
 I always have to call the delivery person to redeliver that (those items/extra items/large items/whatever that is), and I feel so bad about it.
A big mailbox is necessary for us nowadays!
もしくは
We/I need a big mailbox!

These sound a bit more natural to me. I hope you get a larger mailbox soon！

やっぱり、「完了形」で表現していくことを練習せなあかんな！

４、その他、グーグル探訪中に出会った表現。

■self starter：自発的に行動できる人
a person who is able to work well without needing direction
例）We're looking for self-starters who are willing to work remotely.
私たちは、遠隔勤務をする意志のある自発的に行動できる人を探している。

リモート勤務が当たり前の時代に突入やで！

■I hope things settle down soon.
→それが一刻も早く落ち着くことを願います。
早くおさまってほしいね。。（ころな。。）
