Blue skies and fair weather ahead
Today, I will introduce the story of a woman.
Ryoko Fukuoka is a weather reporter who's also a licensed Japan national guide. A high level of English skills is required to pass the Japan national guide exam, and she said I've always liked English classes. She had aspired to focus on English in her career, however, instead, she opted for meteorology.
Throughout her career, she learned a lot of interesting things such as Japan's geography and history, and wanted to share this knowledge with people overseas. So she decided to try for the notoriously difficult National Guide Interpreter exam. Fukuoka says she hit the books and studied hard. And she finally achieved her goal on her fourth try.
It is important to have many skills if it's not just for a job. Having multiple different skills makes one different from people around. Now, I'm studying English, Thai, and accounting. So I hope these skills will allow me to see the way I go widely.
