今日はこちらの記事から単語を抜き出し。最近、自分の作業がスローすぎて、何も終わりません(笑)  noteが全然書けていない...  ので、もう日本語英語ミックス適当だけど、とりあえず書きだす。

How can I translate this into Japanese? But this would include the good nuance brought by English expression. ;)

マイクロソフトのストックってMSFTって言うんですね。

シンクタンクって日本語でだけしか見たことなかったので、think (スペース) tankなの知りませんでした。

"But perhaps the most striking recent example is the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack"

Maybeのプロフェッショナルな言い方と、Remarkableの同義語。

"The debacle cost Colonial at least $4.4 million, the amount its CEO admitted to paying the hackers"

The google dictionary says that Debacle means a sudden and ignominious failure; a fiasco. Good word to talk about the awkward legitimate failure I guess. Ignominious is also good adjective means: deserving or causing public disgrace or shame.

"In the weeks before the attack, the company had posted a job listing for a cybersecurity manager. "

まるでインシデントを予期していたような。

"The takeaway from such security breaches, according to experts, is that it's high time for companies to start investing in robust controls and, in particular, adding cybersecurity professionals to their teams."

日本ではレストランからの持ち帰りは「Take-out/テイクアウト（アメリカ英語）」ですが、イギリス英語(つまりカナダも)だと「Take-away/テイクアウェイ」です。ここでは「持ち帰れるもの＝学んだこと」でTakeawayが使われているようです。レストランの持ち帰りの意味ではないので、アメリカ記事にイギリス英語が使われているという風に単純には考えることはナンセンスです（説明しきれないだけ）。

It's high time は It's about time という意味で使われています。

Hitch = problem, issue.
