クエンティン・タランティーノ監督が、1992年から2009年の間に公開された映画の中から好きな映画を20個選ぶ、というインタビュー動画を見た。
2010年に撮影された映像のようだ。
彼曰く、順位をつけるのは難しいとのことで、ランキング形式ではなく単にアルファベット順に紹介されるのだが、「バドル・ロワイヤル」だけは突出して好きだということで、No.1の映画として語られていた。

私はこの映画でブルース・ウィリスの演技に脱帽した。特にこの映画の最後に、主人公と息子が食卓でアイコンタクトするシーンがあるのだが、そのときの表情が素晴らしい。ものすごく主人公の言いたいことが表情から伝わってきた。言語を超えた演技というのはこういうものか、とまざまざと見せつけられた。そしてクエンティン・タランティーノ監督もインタビューの中で、
「"Unbreakable" which I actually think one not only has Bruth Willis's best performance on film that he's ever given I think he's absolutely magnificent in film」
と言っており、ブルース・ウィリスの演技を評価していたのがとても嬉しかった。ブルース・ウィリスが主演する映画でオススメは何か、と聞かれれば、私は「ダイ・ハード」シリーズよりも「Unbreakable」を勧めたい。

I am delightful that he praises Bruce Willis performance. If I am asked what a recommendation of Bruce Willis film is, I will recommend "Unbreakable" than "Die hard" series.
