Entering Germany

I left Amsterdam for Germany.
First I went to Dusseldorf.

By train to long-distance bus stop

Before getting on the bus
I had my last Heineken in Holland.

I bought one without realizing it was non-alcoholic...

Then I arrived in Dusseldorf.
I stopped here for a layover, so I walked around
the city for about an hour.

My first time using FlixTrain

It wasn't long before I got from Dusseldorf to my destination for the day, Cologne.

And when I arrived at Cologne station I was surprised...!

is right in front of the station…!!

In an instant,
I achieved my single biggest goal in Cologne...

It's incredibly big...!!

And when I look closely,
I'm amazed at how delicately it's made.

The interior is cool and solemn.

No matter how famous it is and how many tourists it attracts, this sacred place has a calming quality.

Peace of mind is very important on a long trip.

For the day, I checked into the hotel and finished up.

Before that, I relaxed with a beer.
It was cheap at 0.55€! And it was delicious.
