Day -2_MBA Journey_Cognitive Bias in our daily life

I intentionally stop for a second and hesitate to ask for a help as I had many terrible services/experiences in Dubai already. Yet doesn’t mean everyone in the city has horrible attitude. Today, I visited DXB to see my former boss, who was making transit in Dubai to go back to Bangkok from Moscow. Since I am not used to the airport structure and diverse routes to each terminal, I had to ask questions to make my ways to meet him on time. Then I reached to multiple people working at the airport, and they were very helpful and kind to walk me through how I should get to the location.

This was another Cognitive Bias. I assumed people in Dubai are unfriendly that I tend to avoid or took meaningless time to ask for a help, which was proved to be wrong.

However, again, it might be another Cognitive Bias because I made decisions based on people who work at the DXB airport area. Perhaps they might be trained to provide good customer services compared to other area of the city.

If I dig my thought deeper and deeper, I realize more how I could have more perspectives to see one thing from multiple angles to reach to more logical, rational and reliable conclusion.

After all, meeting with my former boss was amazing as we caught up with all the things we missed for the past month.

Except the fact that I lost all my keys to access to my apartment that I stayed at the airport for the whole night as I have a video call meeting from 6am. What a day....Trying to stay up until 6am at least with a cappuccino with late night guilty snack :p yum.
