世界に届け！『出停記念日』英語字幕動画を公開します

昨年上演し好評を博した #35 1/2『出停記念日』の上演映像を、英語字幕つきで公開しております！

英語字幕つきの動画は、昨年のクラウドファンディングの達成率120％のお約束でした。この動画を機に、島元要さんの名作が世界中に届くことを願っています。

あらすじ / Story

文化祭の打ち上げで飲酒がバレて、44人中40人が停学になった高校2年生のクラス。
停学指導が始まった日、グラウンドは指導を受けている40人で大盛況。がらんとした教室に取り残され、窓からグラウンドをただ眺めている4人。彼女たちは、はたしてこの友情の記念日に参加することができるのか？

弦巻楽団の新作公演は約15年前に書かれた高校演劇界の名作「出停記念日」。
クラスの殆どが出席停止となり、教室に残されることになった4人の生徒。残された側の視点から語られる、自分たちは今、なぜ教室にいるのか・・・。

島元要氏による端正な言葉で紡がれた戯曲を、8人の役者が役を交換しながら演じます。

An incident with alcohol at the school festival's after-party leaves 40 out of 44 students suspended from the 11th grade class.
The first day of suspension, the field is packed with the 40 students receiving discipline. Left behind in the deserted classroom, the remaining 4 students can only look on from the window. Will these girls ever be able to take part in this anniversary of camaraderie? 

Kaname Shimamoto's finely spun tale is acted out by a rotating cast of 8 performers.

Tsurumaki Theatrical Group's "Suspension Anniversary" performed in 2020 in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan is now being streamed with English subtitles!

この素晴らしい作品の翻訳を依頼していただいて、このプロジェクトに関わることができて光栄です。未熟な私で、とてもプロの翻訳家には及ばないのですが、日本語のセリフを自分の言語に換えていって、魔法使いになった気分した。
『出停記念日』は私にとって特別な作品になっており、簡単には忘れられません。この作品がたくさんの人に届いて、またたくさんの人の心を動かす作品になるように、そう願います。
この物語はただのエンターテインメントだけじゃなくて、その中の人物と一緒に過ごした旅でした。たまに笑い、最後には涙がでそうなぐらい素敵な旅。
出停ってそんなに悪くないかも？

I was so honored to be reached out to for this translation, and it was a real joy to be able to work on this project. While my skills are far from professional and I struggled along the way, I loved being able to capture the lines and turn them into my own language, and share with even more people.
"Suspension Anniversary" has become something special to me, and I won't soon forget this moving story. I hope this play reaches many people and touches their hearts the way it did mine. This story was more than entertainment, it was a journey that I went on with the characters, with a good laugh and a few tears by the time it was over.
Maybe being suspended isn't so bad after all?
