Hello everyone, my name is Akane Tamogami, a fourth-year student of Physical Education. After a one-year delay after high school, I finally entered the University of Tsukuba and spend my hard fought four years. Now this spring, I am about to take off into society. Therefore, I decided to "do everything I want” while I was in Tsukuba! To put this resolve into action, I have been a member of the public relations team since the last TSUKUBA LIVE!

My passion towars sports event

My life style of "let's just try what want to do" spirit, I was able to connect with many people and experience numerous things during my four years in college. However, there was one thing that I could not do even though I wanted to due to COVID. That is the organization of sports events. As part of my club activities, every year we give our all to hold an international tennis tournament, but it was cancelled three years in a row. We were forced to leave the idea of holding the event to our junior members. To be honest, it was quite frustrating. Nevertheless, I certainly wanted to be more involved in sports through the activities to hold the event, and I was able to realize the potential of sporting events. I would like to use this experience in TSUKUBA LIVE!

Communicating the appeal of players through content

With these thoughts in my mind, I imagined how can I contribute to TSUKUBA LIVE! ➀I have experienced and watched a wide variety of sports. ➁I like creating things ③ I want to bring out all the possibility of the players. This who I am and what I want to do. Therefore, I decided to execute "making videos that convey the appeal of athletes”.
There are a lot of amazing athletes in the University of Tsukuba who are among the best in the country (Some are actaly national champions...), but the students enrolled in University of Tsukuba do not know anything about them. Under these circumstances, it can be difficult to promote TSUKUBA LIVE! at a certain extent so I wanted to focus on informing University of Tsukuba students the amazingness of the players. We kept thinking what kind of content would interest them and how to make the content reach the target audience in the first place. There is no right answer, and I keep finding it difficult because trends change so quickly, but that is why I think it is interesting.
I would be happy if even just one person could be inspired by the content we send out to visit the venue, experience the power of the athletes and the atmosphere of the event, and think that sports are great.

In order for TSUKUBA LIVE! To become an exciting event, cooperation from athletes, staff, and spectators is a required role. Please invite those around you who are interested in watching sports but feel uncomfortable, and give them a final push to joy our amazing TSUKUBA LIVE! The only thing you need to bring with you is the will to have fun! I look forward to seeing you all at the event, and of course, I will be working hard to create video’s today!!
