【英検準1級ライティング#14】24時間営業が続くことが望ましいか【NO】

2014年12/5〜2015年5月末までトロントに滞在しました。
これは、5/7のトロント大学構内で撮ったものです。
極寒と長引く時差ボケと友達のいなさからくる、孤独感。
いい友達が何人もできたことで、3ヶ月かかって乗り越えられました。
　
私にとって4月末からの春の光は、私自身がトロントを好きになっていく
タイミングと重なり、ドラマチックに記憶しています。
それ以来、帰国後も春〜初夏が大好きな季節となりました。
いつか、夏と秋のトロントも観てみたい！！と思っています。

先生のプロフェッショナルな指導技術が素晴らしいのか。相性が良いのか？
とてもやりやすいのです。

　本日は、「24時間営業が続くことが望ましいか」がテーマ。
【NO】の立場で書きました。

　　Nowadays, lots of people think 24-hour stores are not necessary, not only from the point of environment protection(*environmental protectionも同じ) but also worker protection. I agree with them for the same two reasons.
*「Aの観点からだけでなくて、Bの観点からも」というのを、観点からという言葉を重複させず、not only from the point of A but also Bと直してくれました。鮮やかだなあ。

　　First, being open 24 hours is not eco-friendly. It requires extra energy resources such as electricity and gas. In addition(or Besides), there are not that(=so) many customers during that period so those resources are mostly wasted.
*In additionとBesidesはちょっとニュアンスが異なる。どちらか自分が表したい方を選ぶ。in additionがここではいいかな。
　　Another reason is that being open for 24 hours affects the worker's health. Working night shifts does not match the natural life rhythm of human beings. Except for indispensable work such as the police and doctors, no stores should be working 24 hours.
　　For these reasons, I think stores don't have to open for 24 hours. Instead, we need some changes in the social system so that people don't need such kind of stores.

「そしてさらに」は英語でBesidesといいます。
定義：に加えて。また。さらに。そのうえ、しかも。
カジュアルの場で日常会話などくだけた状況で使われます。
意味は文脈によって変わります。前置詞として使うと「～の他にも」という意味になります。
直前の文に情報を追加する際に使われます。理由を述べるときなどに便利です。

例文
「私は行きたくない。そしてさらにとても疲れている」
I don't want to go. Besides, I'm too tired.　

「今は外出したくない。そしてさらに仕事もしなければならない」
I don't want to come out now, and besides, I must work.

In addition
additionの定義：数値または金額を一緒に追加すること。
フォーマルの場で文頭でコンマ（,）と一緒に使わることが多いです。
in additionは「加えて」という意味です。情報を「付け加える」時に使う表現です。
in addition toで「～に加えて」「さらに」という意味になります。元となる英単語addは「加える」という意味です。
additionalyでも同じ意味になりますがin additionのほうが使われる頻度は高いようです。

例文
「そしてさらに、大雨が降りました」
In addition, there was heavy rain.

「英語のクラスが提供されます。そしてさらに、学生はコンピューティングのクラスを受講できます」
English classes are offered. In addition, students can take classes in computing.
