日記85 : Color Analysis

Once again I draw a picture that is like about personal beauty analysis, so I have no choice but to write it.

However, I feel the peak of this trend passed away. According to Google, it started to become trend since 2017 so it seems to have been an enough time that it even became known to people who aren't familiar with beauty and beauty seeker start getting bored of this idea and to find an alternative innovation. Or this idea has simply become a fashion standard.

From a quick search, it is said that this idea came from the US in 1980s. I think it’s interesting it became popular in Japan 30 years later.

I’m not sure about the current trends and the actual state of fashion and cosmetic culture in the US, but I don’t think it’s simply that the trend cycle in Japan lags behind that in the US. Due to societal structures and the social recognition of racism and body shaming, the way fashion trends are accepted may differ between the US and East Asia.

Anyway, aside from the strong societal pressure to dress appropriately, I think it’s fun to follow moderately complex rules that aren’t as strict as mathematics and to find the best options within them.
