京急の魅力は「ダイナミックな速さ」だと、私を含めた多くの京急ファンは言います。その魅力は、物理的な「ダイナミックな速さ」はもちろんですが、京急の安全性を信頼しているからこそ生まれるものです。安全に対する「信頼感」があってこそ、私たちは安心して乗車し、「ダイナミックな速さ」を楽しむことが出来ます。
「信頼感」を醸成するには不断の努力が必要ですが、失うときは一瞬です。
これから話すことは、私の体験談です。
ある鉄道会社の前面展望を撮影していたとき、電車がホームに進入しているにも関わらず、交代運転士が所定の場所に姿を現さないことがありました。その業務に取り組む姿勢を見て、交代運転士の安全への心構えに対する不信感をおぼえました。その運転士は例外に属するタイプでしょう。その人が例外だとしても、乗客はその運転士が交代するまでの間、その運転士に命を預けます。乗客は運転士を選べません。私は、その鉄道会社をその瞬間まで信頼していました。しかし、その鉄道会社が、正則作業を守らない運転士に運転をさせているという事実に接したとき、その鉄道会社に対する信頼感が揺らぎました。
「京急は乗客の安全に対する裏切行為をしないない」という、乗客の京急に対する信頼感こそが、「ダイナミックな速さ」を感じる源だと思います。前述した運転士が京急の運転士だったら、「ダイナミックな速さ」は「恐怖」に変わることでしょう。
京急さん、これからも乗客の信頼感を裏切らない安全運行をお願いします。

Many Keikyu fans, including myself, say that the appeal of Keikyu is its "dynamic speed." Its appeal lies not only in its physical "dynamic speed", but also in its reliability in Keikyu's safety.
It takes constant effort to build trust, but it can be lost in an instant.
What I am about to tell you is my experience.
When I was filming a front view of a railway company, the shift driver did not appear in place even though the train was approaching the platform. The shift driver finally showed up shortly before the train stopped at its stop position.
When I saw the attitude of working on that task, I became distrustful of the shift driver's attitude toward safety.
The driver would be the type that belongs to the exception. Even if that person is an exception, the passenger entrusts his or her life to the driver until the driver changes. Passengers cannot choose their driver. I trusted the railroad company up to that moment. However, when I came across the fact that the railway company had drivers who did not follow regular work rules, my trust in the railway company was shaken.
Passengers' trust in Keikyu, which says, "Keikyu will never betray the safety of its passengers," is the source of its "dynamic speed." If the above-mentioned driver were a Keikyu driver, "dynamic speed" would change to "fear".
I would like to ask Keikyu to continue to operate safely without betraying the trust of passengers.
