1971年作DISTORTIONに収録されているDISTILLATIONという曲のカバーです。
アルバム全体を通して好きなアルバムで、アルバムのカバーも数パターン存在しています。この白い無機質なバージョンが特に好きですね。
アルバムの中でもこの曲は最もヘビーなFUZZサイケナンバーです。途中登場する高音域のサイケデリックな単音ギターフレーズも気に入ってます。どうやったらこういう音が出せるのか探ってみると意外とFUZZで高音域を弾くと近い音が出るんですね。さらにリバーブを目一杯かけて弾いてます。
一番やりたかったのはピック弾きの硬いベースで、
COVER NO、1でやってた硬質な質感の
ベースを採用してます。あと何曲かやりたいと思ってたんですがSPIRITUALサイドの曲に傾倒してたのでなかなか出来ずにいました。
前回のZAM ROCKのNGOZI FAMILYの JAMはあまり出来が良くなかったので悔しいですが削除しました。
JAMの動画を撮るのも大変です。4、5時間かけて編集して、良いと数日気分もいいのですが、悪いと真逆ですし使った時間も無駄になります。
出来の悪いジャムはもう見たくも無くなります。
必死に良い部分を探してみるのですが、、、その時間もしんどいです。
This is my favorite album in its entirety, and there are several versions of the album cover. I especially like this white, mineral version.
This song is the heaviest FUZZ psychedelic number on the album. I also like the psychedelic single-note guitar phrase in the high register that appears in the middle of the song. When I tried to figure out how to make this kind of sound, I was surprised to find that playing FUZZ in the high range produces a similar sound. I also play with a lot of reverb.
What I wanted to play the most was playing a hard bass with a pick.

I am using the base. I wanted to do a few more songs, but I was leaning towards songs from the SPIRITUAL side, so I couldn't do them.
The last JAM by ZAM ROCK's NGOZI FAMILY wasn't very good, so I deleted it, although I'm disappointed.
Taking videos of JAM is also difficult. I spend 4-5 hours editing, and if it's good, I feel good for a few days, but if it's bad, it's the exact opposite and I'm wasting my time.
You'll never want to see a poorly made jam again.
I'm desperately trying to find the good parts, but...it's also exhausting.
