Relaxing by walking around

I've recently become quite addicted to walking around. Sometimes I just feel an urge to walk so much so that I walk from the Tennoji area to the Umeda area. I always thought walking was relaxing, but then I heard the term 'walking meditation'.

"Walking meditation" is similar to sitting meditation in that it offers similar benefits while walking. You focus your attention on the act of walking and try to keep your mind clear of other thoughts as much as possible. This practice helps clear your mind and calm your spirit.

It's like a walking version of seated meditation. No wonder it clears the mind and brings a sense of emptiness within. I experience the same feeling when running, too. There might even be something like "running meditation."

I want to make walking meditation on Friday nights a habit to clear my mind from the clutter of the workweek.
