　「合格」を手にするには、自由に教材を選択し、自分の学習ペースを自分で決めることが必要不可欠だ。他人に教材の選択権を渡し、他人にカリキュラムの作成を委任してしまうタイプの生徒は難関大学合格の可能性はきわめて低い。

　教師、塾講師、難関大に合格した先輩などは、すでに地位を確立している。そのため、多くの生徒の方は地位を確立した人の前に立つと委縮する。そして、大切な自主決定権を放棄してしまう。そして、不合格をつかんでしまう。
