The Reason why the former public high school English teacher retired at age 26

Hi, this is Taiga! I am currently in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Guanajuato in Mexico. Starting my first post on Note, there is no negative reason for my quitting the previous job as a teacher. So don't worry about anything. I've been fine all time, both in Japan and overseas, because of my awesome friends and family around the world!
Now, I'm gonna write about why I quit my job as a high school English teacher and how I came to start Note.

1. Why did I quit?

1-1.  Until becoming a teacher

The first time to step into this way was when I was in junior high. I met some cool and friendly cram school teachers. I also loved both "teaching" and "children," and without any hesitation or wavering, I began to want to become a teacher.

I applied to a university where I could obtain a teaching license, and even after enrolling, the option of "being an office worker in a general company" never crossed my mind, and I went straight into the world of teaching.
Fortunately, I passed the employment examination with flying colors, and my feelings did not change even after becoming a teacher. To be frank, as you might imagine, the world of teaching in Japan is black. It's one of the social issues in Japan that less and less people want to be a public school teacher in Japan because of low salary and too many tasks to do.
However, since I was doing something I loved as my job, I didn't mind going home on the last train or not having a day off on both Saturdays and Sundays. I was sleepy in the morning and hated getting up early every day, though. Lol

Those who have already been a parent would know that they take care of their children not because they receive money, but because they just love their own kids so much. Even though I'm not a father, I spent time with my students in my class and club activity I was in charge of, with all the love I could give.
They returned the love back to me in the form of "trust." When I looked back in the unit of the long periods of time, such as semesters and years, I realized that they had been definitely growing. During the three years of high school, I observed that process and spent more time with them than their parents. The reward for the job was not only the salary but spending meaningful days with them.
Honestly, I thought it was my "calling." I never felt the urge to "change jobs."

1-2.  Reasons for deciding to resign

I loved my job as an English teacher and enjoyed my daily life of teaching English. However, I had this feeling:
"I can't speak English enough as a teacher at all."

My overseas experience was limited to just two weeks in Australia, six weeks in the United States, and two weeks in the Philippines.
Since I was going to make a living by teaching English, I wanted to be able to speak it properly and smoothly.

I wanted to have a long-term overseas experience, not just a few weeks.
Yes, that's right. This was the trigger. To be more specific, after keeping teaching the same group of students from their first grade through graduation, it was a good time to leave since my own graduates had finished. Also, the working holiday visa has an age limit of 30, so I couldn't waste any time. Time passes by quickly, you know.
With this background, I resigned from my job at the age of 26 and embarked on a one-year working holiday in Canada.

2.  Why did I start Note?

After completing my one-year working holiday in Canada, I came directly to Mexico for the purpose of participating in the Nomad Nia program.
To put it simply, I wanted to acquire the ability to earn money while traveling and living abroad through remote work!
That's the reason why I started my blog. I just finished three courses this week, which are Web writing, community manager and social media operation. I hope that writing a blog here will help me meet new people.
You wouldn't invite a stranger with an unknown identity to your house, would you? You wouldn't want to entrust work to someone whose name you only just learned, would you?

I hope that you will get to know me and that new wonderful connections await us in the future! I will continue to take action, seeking something that will show me a world that I have yet to see, and someone to share it with.

Summary

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my inelegant prose. I feel honored that you have given me your time. I will continue to write weblog that give you feeling that it was interesting to read!

"Every expert was once a beginner."

I hope to become a true teacher someday in the future.

... I wonder when that will be. Haha

※ I'd be happy if you tell me any strange English expressions on this Note. I'm still in the middle of improving my English proficiency.
