Day 174 : Ekiden
Ekiden is a kind of long distance relaying of running race, born in Japan.
There is a very traditional race of college/university teams from Tokyo to Hakone, and then Hakone to Tokyo on January 2nd and 3rd.
We all love this race in Japan.
I usually watch it on TV, and also if I have time, I go to the route 1 road to see the racing.
Even it is in Wikipedia in English, the popularity outside of Japan is liminal.
Just like Keirin, I'm hoping Ekiden could be more internationally popular someday...
