Day 52 : Breads in Japan

You know, Japan has been importing all kind of stuff from thousands years ago, and evolving these things. One good example is our own letters developed from Chinese ones.

Cultures, foods, arts... It's probably more difficult to find our own things not imported from any other countries, than the ones we developed only within our country, as this islands-country has had less resources, surrounded by sea.

For those who are not familiar with how Japanese likes breads currently, it would be difficult to imagine how breads have been evolving in Japan. Our breads was introduced by European countries, since we started to bake them in Japan over 100 years ago when we opened our country in Meiji era, but since then, we have tried very hard how we should bake our breads, being insatiable to match our taste preferences. The older our opened country has got, the more variety of tastes we've got, and the better and more diversified the breads in Japan have become.

Now it's 2019, and we've got tons of thousands of bakery shop around the nation, in every town, and sometimes in small villages in countryside.

Doi-Saki has been challenging to try as many breads as possible everyday.
It's all impossible to try every bakery in Japan, but if you try some of best of the breeds of breads,,, hmm, that's also very tough, because we have so many great bakeries...

But anyway, for those who are not familiar with the good breads in Japan, just try some, by referring to her note or any other blog-sites related with breads!

Word of the day:
insatiable : 飽くなき、貪欲な

Quote of the day:
“There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.”
