Day 303: Grated Japanese Yam

Tororo is made by grating Tororo-imo, which is Yam in English.
This stickiness text combined with Dashi broth and Soy sauce is popular among Japanese.

We put Tororo on rice and Soba noodle.

And believe it or not..., it's said to be good for increasing your virility.
Well, I am on the process of decrepitude.

So, I grated yam, mixed together with soy sauce, dashi broth and chicken egg,  and had it.

Well, it was so delicious that actually was good with beer and sake...

I am not sure if this affected me enough, though...

Word of the day
decrepitude: 老朽、もうろく
Quote of the day
“The type he preferred was the opposite: those skinny little tadpoles that no one bothered to turn around and look at in the street, who seemed to disappear when they took off their clothes, who made you feel sorry for them when their bones cracked at the first impact, and yet who could leave the man who bragged the most about his virility ready for the trashcan.”
― Gabriel García Márquez
