The main difference between Misfire and Backfire is that in Misfire, the process of combustion is incomplete. It means that the engine fails to start or launch. On the other hand, a Backfire occurs when the combustion process occurs outside the cylinder chambers. This affects the performance and fuel capacity of the car.
