Day 219 : Coinlocker

Kotaro Isaka is one of the well-known writers in Japan, having released many best-sellers including this "アヒルと鴨のコインロッカー", or Coinlocker for Canard and Duck.

But the English title noted in this book is "Coinlocker".

In this book, there was a kind of explanation by one of the characters on the difference between "アヒルと鴨", or Canard and Duck. That is, canard is livestock, and duck is wildlife.

But in English, there's almost no difference, as I found the word "canard" is originally from French cuisine vocabulary.

Well, those look a little different, but look almost same.

And that was one of the key messages in this book.
