Day 105 : The Economist

Again, the topic related with the UK...
The Economist is a newspaper (that's what they call, not a magazine...) originally from UK, which has been regularly read by the world leaders such as Obama, Macron, Merkel, and the list goes on.
For us, Japanese, the articles are really tough to read, as they use a lot of sonorous sentences and abstruse terms.
But, it covers global and wide-range subjects, and provides legitimate arguments with consistency.
Sometimes, the articles tend to be a little deviated, but they are much better than Japanese newspapers' biased articles.

I've been subscribing this newspaper for almost 2 years, and still have very hard time reading it (I can't read all the articles, of course...).
But I feel safe that I could touch the authentic Western opinion whenever I read it.

Word of the day:
sonorous : 格調高い

Quote of the day:
“If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're mis-informed.”
― Mark Twain
