Day 146: Black Friday

I think this is almost the first year in Japan that many of the retail stores have started to use "Black Friday" as the campaign word and tool in this season.
They put the campaign board with "Black Friday" in front of their shops.

I found it a little funny when I noticed in the states that they don't have "Black Friday Sale" board at all, rather they use "Sale"...

I thought that is one example we Japanese are prodded to over-interpret the other countries' things and concepts..

But, I also found that "Black Friday" period is just one week after Thanksgiving,,,, hmm that's why!!
