[和訳・解説]Big Sean/Single Again

みなさんこんにちは！

今回はUSのラッパー、Big Seanの「Single Again」という曲の和訳と、少し解説もしたいと思います。

リリースから結構期間が経ちゃっているんですが、最近ジェネイ・アイコがBig Seanと曲を出したのでもう一度聴いてみたらまたハマってしまいました。

この曲はシングルでリリースされ、2018年はリリースがほとんどなかった彼の久しぶりのシングル、「Overtime」のあとに続いてリリースされた曲です。この曲にはタイ・ダラ・サインと、先ほども少し触れましたが、彼の元カノであるジェネイ・アイコを客演に迎えています。

リリースの直前に彼は「自分が一人での過ごし方を知らないということを、今まで気が付かなかったんだ。いつも友達や恋人と一緒にいることに幸せを感じていたが、自分自身との関係を深めていくことの大切さを知らなかった。」とツイートしていて、今まで付き合った人へのアンサーソングとなているそう。

そんな曲を一番最近まで付き合っていたジェネイと歌うなんて、なんだか聴いててちょっと胸が苦しくなるというか、今はもう良好な関係なんだろうけど、それまでこの二人はいろんな事を乗り越えたんだろうな、と感情移入してしまいますね...
