Situation in Ukraine
It has been 728 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
general things.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses are
1,130 soldiers
13 tanks
70 armored combat vehicles
53 cannons
4 multiple rocket launchers
3 air defense systems
39 drones
1 cruise missile
63 other vehicles
and 63 other vehicles.
Russian troop losses exceeded 1,100 per day,
with heavy attacks on several fronts.
Across the entire front,
81 ground battles were reported in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of equipment losses on the Ukrainian side to those on the Russian side,
which can be confirmed by visual information,
is 1 to 2.3.
Military trucks,
infantry fighting vehicles and artillery account for most of the losses on the Russian side,
while tanks and pickup trucks stand out on the Ukrainian side.
Here is a short news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you need to.
First.
Nancy Pelosi,
former Speaker of the U.S.
House of Representatives and the top Democrat in Congress for nearly two decades,
said of former President Trump: "The Kremlin has economic leverage over Trump.
She prefaced her remarks by saying,
"I swear on the brooch I'm wearing right now,
I'm not going to lie."
He noted that Trump did not blame Russia for Nawarinui's death,
He added,
"Trump thinks he owes Putin.
That's money.
He either owes him business or he's expecting something big from him."
Second.
Twitter (X) suspended the account of Navalnaya,
the widow of Russian opposition leader Navalinny,
who died in prison.
Ms.
Navalnaya's account was suspended shortly after she wrote that Russian authorities were hiding her husband's body to prevent poisoning.
The article notes,
"It's worth noting that Twitter was acquired by Elon Musk,
who regularly makes pro-Russian statements."
Third.
The Ukrainian military used drones to destroy a Russian military vehicle base in the back of the country.
This was a revolutionary event,
showing that what previously could only be done by artillery bombardment or air strikes from aircraft could now be done by frontline infantry alone.
The video shows the destruction of an entire Russian frontline military base where a Terminator armored fighting vehicle,
a BMP3 infantry fighting vehicle,
two T72s and two AZPS 60 anti-aircraft guns mounted on a ZIL130 truck were stored.
The first drone entered,
inspected the interior,
selected a target and attacked,
while the following drone did not hesitate to attack the target identified by the previous drone.
The location of the site is a suburb of Staromliniuka,
Donetsk region,
5.5 km from the front line.
Defense Express,
which reported on the incident,
noted that in conventional NATO-style attacks,
such targets are usually attacked with artillery,
tactical air support,
and in some cases cruise missiles,
but the fact that infantrymen can find and destroy them without waiting for support from other units is a major shift in tactics.
That is a major change in tactics.
Now let's look at the battle situation in each region.
Here are the areas where the battle situation has changed.
Northeast: Luhansk region
Eastern part,
towards Bakhmut
We will report on the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line from Halkiu and Kupyansk,
and from the area around Siversk to Bakhmut.
In this area,
the Russians attacked four times in Shinkivka,
six times in Terny and Bilohorivka,
and at least 14 times in the area of Bakhmut.
Ukrainian military spokesman Yevlas Evrach said the size of the Russian forces in this area was 122,000,
including 42,000 in Kupyansk,
57,000 in Kreminna,
and 23,000 around Sibersk.
Around Bakhmut
According to the position video,
Ukrainian forces won and recaptured a position battle on the northern outskirts of Ivanivske.
This was revealed when Russian troops attacked the location shown on the map.
This location is slightly higher than Ivanivske,
about 150 meters above sea level,
and is considered necessary for the defense of Ivanivske.
The battle map has been updated to show that the Ukrainian Army has retaken this area from the contested territory.
Southeast Donetsk region.
The weather in Avdiivka is sunny and sometimes cloudy.
The minimum temperature is -7 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 1 degree Celsius.
Today's weather forecast is for partly cloudy skies.
Below is an update on the situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka
In this area,
Russian troops regrouped and launched control attacks on the surrounding settlements.
The periodic report of the British Ministry of Defense analyzes that "the Russians,
after occupying Avdiivka,
will try to continue their attack in a westerly direction," but that "at the same time,
having exhausted their forces in the attack on Avdiivka and having no immediate combat capability,
they will proceed to reorganize over the next few weeks and then try to expand their territorial control.
They will try to reorganize over the next few weeks and then expand their territorial dominance.
The battle map shows that the Russians launched nine attacks in this direction against Rastochkine,
Severne,
Pervomaiske,
and Neveleske,
which were repulsed by Ukrainian forces.
At Rastochkine,
according to the pictures with location data,
the Russians attacked with six BMP infantry fighting vehicles and one tank,
but they were destroyed one by one by the Ukrainian forces along the way,
and the tanks that were not destroyed and the infantry that escaped were withdrawn.
Earlier,
the Russians had attacked with an eight-man pram unit,
which was also repulsed.
During the night,
however,
two men managed to enter the settlement of Rastochkine,
but were discovered and eliminated by the Ukrainian troops.
The battle map remains unchanged.
Marinka Sector
In this sector the Russians carried out 21 attacks on Heolyivka,
Popieda and Novomihailivka.
1.
The first of these attacks was in Popieda,
according to several unconfirmed reports and video footage with location information,
Russian troops are shelling the settlement of Popieda,
and it seems likely that Russian troops have not yet entered the settlement.
There are false reports that Ukrainian troops have withdrawn from Popieda due to Russian propaganda,
so we will wait for further reports on how far the Russian troops have advanced.
The video shown here is from the Russian side and shows Russian troops shelling the area shown on the map,
and we believe that the Ukrainian troops are present in this area.
There are no more buildings,
not even trees.
There is no change in the battle map.
Second.
West of Sorodke,
we reported in the video the day before yesterday that the Russians may have advanced,
Based on several pieces of information,
it is very likely that the Russians have advanced about two squares,
and we have updated the battle map to show the area as Russian-occupied instead of contested.
Vuhledar Area
In Shevchenko,
Russian-occupied territory west of Pavlivka,
Russian forces have been attacking the mapped area for the past week,
establishing a stronghold and building a projection.
The Russian army tends to launch a series of attacks on a given location,
and on this day there is a record of a Russian tank being repelled.
The battle map has been updated to show Russian forces occupying the area along the border forest.
South,
Zaporizhia Province.
In this sector,
the Russians have been active with at least a dozen attacks near Stalomaiorsk,
Verbove,
and Robotyne.
In Robotyne,
the Russians have been conducting daily attacks on the mapped areas in an attempt to break through.
The Ukrainian military is also using a variety of methods to stop the Russian advance,
including mines,
artillery fire,
cluster munitions,
and drones.
The image shown here is from the Ukrainian side and shows the location of the Russian positions as indicated on the map.
The attack appears to have failed,
and the Russian attack was repelled by Ukrainian forces.
Meanwhile,
there are reports that a Ukrainian soldier captured in Robotyne was shot by Russian troops.
Shooting prisoners of war is a war crime,
but Russia does not appear to be involved.
South,
Kherson province.
The Russians made five attacks in this sector west of Krinky and Kozachraveli,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian troops,
and there is no information on any change in the battle map.
There was also a flurry of Russian propaganda in the area,
with several reports indicating that Ukrainian forces had retreated from Krinky.
The Russian military claimed occupation of Krinky by raising a Russian flag in the park shown on the map,
but another video shows them fleeing the area shortly after the shot was taken,
so this is currently considered part of an information war.
Other.
A Russian talk show made President Trump's supporters laugh.
A political commentator appearing on the prime-time show "Turning Point" on Russia's Gazprom-owned NTV said,
"The majority of Americans who vote for Trump are flirting with silly slogans and are stupid and primitive," and in response,
another performer described Trump supporters as "hicks,
villagers screaming for money."
Recently,
President Putin also said at a press conference that President Biden is more predictable and easier to deal with than Trump,
It is highly likely that the Kremlin is at work in these broadcasts,
and it is possible that former President Trump has effectively failed to prevent the passage of the U.S.
funding bill that includes aid to Ukraine,
and has disappointed the Kremlin's expectations,
or that the intention is to dare Russophobic Americans to vote for Trump as a candidate,
That's all for today.
That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
