考えすぎかもしれないが、Abel が聖書を意識して歌詞を書いたとすると、以下の解釈もできる。詳しくは旧約聖書の創世記の4章を読んでほしい。登場人物は Cain と Abel という兄弟。Cain は作物、Abel は最上の子羊肉を供物として神に捧げた。神は Abel の供物は受け取ったが、Cain のものは受け取らなかった。弟に嫉妬した Cain は Abel を殺してしまった。

9節を引用する。King James Version より
And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
神が Cain に言った。「お前の弟の Abel はどこだ？」そして彼は答えた。「知りません。私は弟の番人(見張り)でしょうか？(私は弟の番人ではありませんよ)」

このことから、
you're not a keeper = Cain = 自分を殺す人 = 裏切る人
you're a keeper = Cain ではない = 裏切らない人

show me you're a keeper は 約束を守るのを示せ と言っているだけでなく、Cain でないこと、自分を裏切らないことを示せ という意味ではないか。
