ESL (English as a Second Language) Mystery Novel with Audio 1: Great for Learning English Listening and Reading Skills (Intermediate)

Hello everyone!

I am a non-English native, English teacher and I have been teaching English for more than 10 years now. As a student who used to learn English myself, I both understand how hard it is to learn a language as a second one, as well as to keep motivated in learning it.

By seeing my students learning English with very little eagerness, but reluctantly working on it just because they have to learn it at school, or to get good scores on the exams, I have always wondered if there is any way to get students interested.

So, I have made this self-study materials for those who learn English, as well as those who teach it, so as to help learning be a bit more than just looking at the textbook thing!

The stories are extracted from the book titled "Two-Minute Mysteries", by the creator of the Encyclopedia Brown Donald J. Sobol, published by Scholastic. But if you read it yourself you can see that the level of English in the book rather advanced and may not be suitable for some intermediate students.

Here, I edited the script so that the level can be more suitable for intermediate students eager to learn English with a bit of twist, by listening or reading the mystery stories and solving them!

I will show the first chapter for free, as a sample. You can use all those below as part of your English learning or use them as educational materials for teaching.
