久々に手に取ったRichard Bach の ”ILLUSIONS“

村上龍の訳は素晴らしかったですが、原作は案外サラッとしてます。

-Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself.

-Here is a test to find whether your mission on earth is finished:  If you’re alive, it isn’t.

まだ生きている。私のミッションは終わっていない、、。ミッションとは自己に忠実に生きること、、。

いろいろもっともらしいことを書いておいて、でもマジに取るなよ、と最後にあるのがRichard Bach風です。

しかしながらこの歳だからこそ、自己に忠実にありたい、と思う今日この頃です。

It’s been a while since I picked up Richard Bach’s “ILLUSION”.

Japanese version which was translated by famous writer Ryu Murakami was great, but the original is actually much simpler.

-Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself.

-Here is a test to find whether your mission on earth is finished:  If you’re alive, it isn’t.

I'm still alive. My mission on earth is not finished.  My mission is to live truly to myself...

“But don't take it seriously..." He added at the end. It is a Richard Bach’s sense of humor.

However, I want to be true to myself as I am now in the autumn of my life.
