Young Folks-Peter Bjorn and Johnを翻訳する

　ふと思い立ち、個人的に好きな楽曲を和訳することにした。日本人である私にとって海外の曲は数回聞いただけではそのニュアンスをすべて把握することは難しい。そこで本腰を入れて和訳することで曲の細部に至るまで気を配ろうというのである。

　今回翻訳するPeter Bjorn And JohnのYoung Folks (https://youtu.be/iArXv64tCJA) という曲は、スウェディッシュ・ポップの中ではとりわけ有名な曲である。サビで”All we care 'bout is talking　Talking only me and you”と歌われているように、恋にうつつを抜かしている甘酸っぱい若い男女の曲だ。キャッチーなメロディーの中にあるコンガと思しきポコポコという軽妙なリズムや口笛の繊細な旋律は、恋が始まる前のような浮足立った瑞々しさを感じさせる。

こんなところだろうか。最初に感じていた第一印象の通り、周りを気にせず強かに生きる若者たちのタフでありつつもどこか儚げな恋を綴ったどこかいじらしい曲だった。
