AHL New House Exhibition - 今週の新築ハウス紹介 Mar.13-Mar.14

こんにちは。ハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」の棟梁、spinn.teramotoです。降る雨の温かさからも冬の終わりを確信させられる3月の東京から、今週も新築ハウスミュージック紹介をやっていきます。

Hi there. This is spinn.teramoto, the director of house music lounge Akihabara Housing, Ltd.. It's March in Tokyo, and even the warmth of the rain makes me believe that winter is over, and I'd like to introduce you to some new-build house music as usual.

ここから取り上げるのは、すべて僕が実際にダウンロード購入した曲。真剣勝負で選んだ楽曲たちです。さっそくご紹介していきますよ!

I'm going to show you all the following songs that I've actually downloaded and purchased. These songs were chosen in a serious competition. Let's take a look at it right away!

1. Black Loops - Banana 20

ドイツ・ベルリンを拠点とするBlack Loopsのエレガントな曲。鳴ってる音ひとつひとつの優しいタッチに包み込まれます。

This is an elegant piece by Black Loops, based in Berlin, Germany. You will be enveloped by the gentle touch of each sound that you hear.

2. Alma Negra - Dakar Disco (Crackazat Remix)

アムステルダムのレーベル・Heistの、くじ引きでアーティストとリミキサーの組み合わせを決めるというコンピレーションシリーズ「The Round Up」から、スウェーデンのCrackazatがリミックスした「Dakar Disco」。上品!

From Amsterdam label Heist's "The Round Up" compilation series, in which artists and remixers are chosen by lottery, comes "Dakar Disco," remixed by Sweden's Crackazat. Classy!

3. Teleseen - Dekalb (Dam Swindle Remix)

「The Round Up」からもう1曲。アムステルダムの2人組・Dam Swindleがリミックスした「Dekalb」。力強くも繊細な、最高のトラックに仕上がっています。

One more song from "The Round Up". Amsterdam duo Dam Swindle remixed "Dekalb". It's a powerful yet delicate track.

4. Jimpster - Think Of You Always

ロンドンでFreerange Recordsを率いるJimpsterことJamie OdellがリリースしたEPに収録された、「Think Of You Always」が良かった。ほの暗い闇の中でハーモニーが響き、鮮やかに空間を染め上げる。愛を感じる1曲です。

I liked "Think Of You Always" from the EP released by Jamie Odell, aka Jimpster, who runs Freerange Records in London. The harmonies echo in the faint darkness, vividly coloring the space. It's a song that makes you feel love.

5. Josh Butler - Addis

イギリス・マンチェスターのJosh Butlerの「Addis」。ハウスミュージックが持つ、反復と展開の力を存分に発揮している骨太トラック。気に入りました。

"Addis" by Josh Butler from Manchester, England. This is a thick track that shows off the power of repetition and development that house music has. I loved it.

6. Cup & String - No Pressure

ロンドンのNo Fussからリリースされた、オーストラリアの2人組Cup & Stringの「No Pressure」。空間の取り方が独特で、素晴らしく良く仕立てられたシンセベースのラインが最高でずっと聴いていられる。

This is "No Pressure" by Australian duo Cup & String, released on London's No Fuss. It has a unique use of space and a wonderfully well-crafted synth bass line that I could listen to all day.

7. Nari - Hip Hop

あはは、これは楽しいな。M/A/R/R/S「Pump Up The Volume」と同じフレーズがリフレインするNariの「Hip Hop」。リリースしたのはハンガリー・ブダペストの面白ハウスのプロバイダー、PornoStarです。

Haha, this is fun, Nari's "Hip Hop" with the same phrase refrain as M/A/R/R/S "Pump Up The Volume". It was released by PornoStar, a provider of interesting houses in Budapest, Hungary.

8. James Haskell - Make You Feel

ロンドンのラグビー選手でありDJ、James Haskellの「Make You Feel」。こういうピアノのリフレインに僕は本当に弱い。一瞬でディフェンスラインを突破され、トライを決められてしまいました。

”Make You Feel" by James Haskell, a rugby player and DJ from London. I have a real weakness for these kinds of piano refrains. In an instant, He broke through the defensive line and scored a try.

【Track of the Week】Teleseen - Dekalb (Dam Swindle Remix)

「今週の1曲」はこの曲に決めました。Dam Swindleの二人といえば強固に組み立てられたビートの印象があったけれど、この曲では彼らのもっている繊細なセンスから紡ぎ出された音が丁寧に重ねられているように感じました。大好きな曲です。

I decided to choose this song as my "Track of the Week." Because, although I had the impression that the two members of Dam Swindle had a solidly constructed strong beat, I felt that this song was carefully layered with sounds spun from their delicate sense. This is my favorite song.

今週、僕は生まれてはじめて自作PCを組んで、「Microsoft Flight Simulator」も動画編集も軽々とできるようになりました。そこで、僕の新PC・名付けて「Mirro Matter」を使って48分のDJミックスを作りました。ぜひ皆さんにも楽しんでもらえたらと思います。

This week, for the first time in my life, I built my own homebrew PC, which allows me to run "Microsoft Flight Simulator" and edit videos with very very ease. So I made a 48-minute DJ mix using the new PC, named "Mirro Matter." I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.
