こんにちは。ハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」の棟梁、spinn.teramotoです。梅雨の終わり、そして本格的な夏の到来を予感させる雷雨が降った7月第2週の東京から、世界の素敵な新築ハウスミュージックを紹介していきたいと思います。

Hi there. I'm spinn.teramoto, the director of the house music lounge "Akihabara Housing, Ltd." From Tokyo in the second week of July, when the rainy season is likely to be over and the thunderstorms foretell the arrival of full-blown summer, I'd like to introduce you to some wonderful new-built house music from around the world.

ここから取り上げるのは、すべて僕が実際にダウンロード購入した曲。真剣勝負で選んだ楽曲たちです。さっそくご紹介していきますよ!

The songs I'm going to cover here are all ones I've actually downloaded and purchased. I'm going to introduce them to you right away!

1. Kevin Hedge (Blaze) Ft Rick Galactik - Reach For The Stars (Atjazz Love Soul Remix)

現在はニューヨークのKevin HedgeのソロプロジェクトになったBlazeの新曲を、ロンドンのディープハウスマスター・Atjazzが華麗にリミックス。原曲をさらにエレガントに彩るゴージャスな仕上がり。最高です。

London deep house master Atjazz brilliantly remixed this new track by Blaze, now a solo project of New York's Kevin Hedge. The result is a gorgeous remix that makes the original even more elegant. It's great.

2. The Sunburst Band - Listen Love (Louie Vega & Josh Milan Remix)

Joey Negro改めDave LeeのZ Recordsからリリースされた、The Sunburst Band「Listen Love」のLouie VegaとJosh Milanのリミックス。間違いなく素晴らしい仕上がり。9分超えの長尺でたっぷり聴かせてくれます。

Louie Vega and Josh Milan's remix of The Sunburst Band's "Listen Love", released on Dave Lee (former known as Joey Negro)'s Z Records. It's over 9 minutes long, and it's a great listen.

3. Dirtytwo - Chicago Shuffle

シカゴが誇る信頼のハウスミュージックレーベル・Large Musicからリリースされたのは、スウェーデン・ノルヒェーピングの2人組DirtyTwoの「Chicago Shuffle」。スウェーデンの2人からシカゴハウスへの、現代的で愛に溢れるトリビュートです。

Chicago's trusted house music label, Large Music, has released "Chicago Shuffle" by DirtyTwo, a duo from Norrheping, Sweden. It's a sincere and modern tribute to the love of Chicago house from the Swedish duo.

4. Opolopo - Ginsu Knife (Extended Mix)

この夏に向けてリリースされたToolroomレーベルの新曲コンピレーション「Poolside」に収録された、ストックホルムの魔術師Opolopoの「Ginsu Knife」。118BPMのゆったりしたリズム奏でられる音の一つ一つに、緻密にデザインされた艶と輝きがある豪華な曲。音楽のごちそうです。最高。

Included on the Toolroom label's new compilation "Poolside" released this summer, Stockholm wizard Opolopo's "Ginsu Knife" is a gorgeous piece of music, with each note played at a relaxed 118 BPM, and with a meticulously designed gloss and shine. It's a feast of music. Great.

5. Monki - Whatchu Laughing At

ロンドンの女性DJ/アーティスト、MonkiことLucy Monkmanの「Whatchu Laughing At」。自由な発想で紡がれるひたすらクールなサウンド。特に3分過ぎてからのグイグイ上げてくところ、熱いです。

"Whatchu Laughing At" by Lucy Monkman aka Monki, a female DJ/artist from London. It's a cool sound spun with free ideas. It's especially hot when it ramps up after three minutes.

6. Louie Vega - Deep Burnt Feat. Axel Tosca (Original Mix)

米・ニュージャージーの生ける伝説、Louie Vegaの10分を超えるディープハウスの旅。キーボードとピアノで参加しているAxel Toscaの描く流麗なラインを追いかけていくのがとても心地良い。最高。

Over 10 minutes of deep house journey from Louie Vega, a living legend from New Jersey, USA. It's very comfortable to follow the flowing lines drawn by Axel Tosca on keyboard and piano. The best.

7. Mallin, Liv Campbell - In The Mood (Extended Mix)

英イングランド中部の街・ウルヴァーハンプトンのMallinの「In The Mood」。Eピアノの奏でる優しいハーモニーが気持ちと身体を溶かしてくれます。みんなで笑顔になれる曲。

"In The Mood" by Mallin from Wolverhampton, a town in central England, England, the gentle harmony of the e-piano melts your mind and body. This song will make everyone smile.

8. Thommy Davis, Neal Conway ft. Randy Roberts - Darlin' Darlin' Baby (Sweet & Tender Love) Spen & Thommy's Original mix

Randy Robertsの歌の力がひたすら心地良く、ハウスミュージックの快楽を存分に楽しませてくれる「Darlin' Darlin' Baby」。米バルティモアのThommy DavisとDJ SpenのOriginal Mixが最高すぎでした。

The power of Randy Roberts' vocal is just so pleasant, and "Darlin' Darlin' Baby" is surely makes you enjoy the pleasures of house music. The original mix by Baltimore's Thommy Davis and DJ Spen was just too good!

【Track of the Week】Opolopo - Ginsu Knife (Extended Mix)

今週出会った新築ハウスは、文字通り「良い曲」が多かったですね。Louie VegaやAtjazzといったベテランや、経験豊富な演奏家たちが、良い音楽に触れる楽しみ、そしてハウスミュージックを聴く楽しみを提供してくれました。その中で僕が「今週の１曲」に選んだのは、スウェーデンの魔術師Opolopoのこの曲でした。演奏家としてのOpolopoの凄さ、立体的に楽曲をデザインする編曲家としてのOpolopoの凄さを、この曲で僕はあらためて再確認しました。スリリングな曲です。

The new-built house music I encountered this week was literally "good" - veterans like Louie Vega and Atjazz, as well as experienced performers, provided us with the pleasure of experiencing good music and listening to house music. My choice for "Track of the Week" is this one by the Swedish wizard Opolopo. This song reaffirmed for me the greatness of Opolopo as a performer and as an arranger who designs music in three dimensions. It's a thrilling song.
