Hello, this is Akihabara Housing, Ltd. In the last weekend of September, and here in Tokyo, in the northern hemisphere of the world, it's getting cooler and more like autumn.

ハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」棟梁のspinn.teramotoがその年の新譜をチェックしご紹介する世界の新築ハウスの展示場、「Antenna 2020」。毎週土曜日は「いつものアーティスト・いつものレーベルの新譜チェック」、そして日曜日は「いつもと違うジャンルやアーティストを探る」という方針でチェックしています。

The master of the house music lounge "Akihabara Jutaku (Akihabara Housing, Ltd.)", Spinn.Teramoto, checks out and introduces the new music of the year at "Antenna 2020", an exhibition space for new house music from around the world. Every Saturday, I check out the new releases from my usual artists and labels, and on Sundays, I explore different genres and artists.

ご紹介するのは、すべて僕が実際にダウンロード購入した曲。真剣勝負で選んだ楽曲たちです。さっそくご紹介していきますよ!

I'm going to show you all the songs that I've actually downloaded and purchased. These songs were chosen in a serious competition. Let's take a look at it right away!

1. Jorn Johansen - Love The Way

Spotifyでは2011年くらいからのリリースが登録されているJorn Johansenの新譜が、ベルギーのアントワープにあるハウス系レーベルGents & Dandy'sからリリースされました。90年代ハウスのテイストを、現代の透明感で聴かせてくれます。大好きですね。

orn Johansen's new record, who has a catalogue since 2011 on Spotify since about 2011 or so, is released on Gents & Dandy's, a Belgian house label from Antwerp, Belgium, and it's 90s house flavor with modern-day clarity. I Love it.

2. Corbi - Slowly but Surely

ロシア・ウリヤノフスク州の都市センギレイの名を冠した新興レーベルSengiley Recordingsからリリースされた、CorbiのEPの3曲目「Slowly but Surely」。このスペイシーっぷり、最高に気持ちいいです。

As the third track on Corbi's new EP, ”Slowly but Surely" was released on the emerging Sengiley Recordings label, which is named after the city of Sengiley, Ulyanovsk, Russia. This spacy, this is a great feeling.

3. Mr. Belt & Wezol - Homeless

オランダのSpinnin' Recordsからリリースされた、デルフト出身の2人組Mr. Belt & Wezolによるハウスアンセム「ジプシー・ウーマン」のカバー。アンセム特有の圧力をあえて減らし、現代的な軽いタッチで聴かせます。いいね!

A cover of the house anthem "Gypsy Woman" by Delft duo Mr. Belt & Wezol, released on Spinnin' Records in the Netherlands. They dare to reduce the pressure characteristic of the anthem and give it a modern, light touch. Nice!

4. Da Mike - Introspection

ここからは新たな出会いを求めていく日曜日の新譜チェックから紹介する曲です。ギリシャのベテランDa Mikeのアフロトラック。「内省」という意味を表す曲名通り、骨っぽいビートが抑えたトーンの中で響きます。中盤の盛り上がりも格好いい。

From here the songs we're introducing from Sunday's new record check with seeking new encounters. The Afro track from Greek veteran Da Mike. As the song's name implies, the bony beat resonates in a restrained tone. The build-up in the middle of the track is also cool.

5. Chanelle & Eric Kupper - One Man

1989年のヒット曲Chanelle「One Man」を、かつては亡きフランキー・ナックルズの盟友でにあり、今もNYで活躍しているベテランEric Kupperがリメイク。ボーカルもChanelle本人が新録してるみたい。エッセンシャルなハウスの魅力に溢れてる。

Chanelle's 1989 hit "One Man" has been remade by Eric Kupper, a veteran musician who is still active in New York and was a friend of the late Frankie Knuckles. It sounds like the vocals are also newly recorded by Chanelle herself. It's full of essential house charm.

6. Bobby D'Ambrosio - The Day (DJ Spen & Reelsoul Remix)

Bobby D'Ambrosioの曲「The Day」の、DJ SpenとReelsoulによるリミックス。ピアノのリフの美しさ、ボーカル、ベース。この曲もまた、エッセンシャルなハウスミュージックの魅力でいっぱいです。

A remix of Bobby D'Ambrosio's song "The Day" by DJ Spen and Reelsoul. Beautiful piano riffs, vocals and bass. This song is also full of essential house music charm.

【Track of the Week】Chanelle & Eric Kupper - One Man

「今週の1曲」にはこの曲を選びました。Eric Kupperは20世紀からコンスタントにハウスの中のハウスをリリースしている、NYを代表するDJの一人だと思います。彼独自のハーモニーの美しさ、歌の魅力を引き出すアレンジの確かさは本当に素晴らしい。これからもまだまだ曲を作り続けて欲しいです。

I've chosen this song as my "Track of the week" because I think Eric Kupper is one of NY's leading DJs who has been consistently releasing the house of the houses since the 20th century. The beauty of his unique harmonies and the certainty of his arrangements that brings out the charm of vocal is truly amazing. I hope he continues to write more songs in the future.
