New House Exhibition - 今週のハウス新譜チェック 6.13-6.14

ハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」棟梁のspinn.teramotoがその年の新譜をチェックしご紹介する世界の新築ハウスの展示場、「Antenna 2020」。毎週土曜日は「いつものアーティスト・いつものレーベルの新譜チェック」、そして日曜日は「いつもと違うジャンルやアーティストを探る」という方針でチェックしています。

The master of the house music lounge "Akihabara Jutaku (Akihabara Housing, Ltd.)", spinn.teramoto, checks out and introduces the new music of the year at "Antenna 2020", an exhibition space for new house music from around the world. Every Saturday, I check out the new releases from my usual artists and labels, and on Sundays, I explore different genres and artists.

1. Demarkus Lewis - A Break In The Clouds (Mirko Deep Remix)

5末にリリースされたDemarkus Lewisの「A Break In The Clouds」。そのリミックス盤から、Mirko Deepのリミックスを紹介します。まさに雲間から光が差し込むように、華やかで前向きな希望を感じさせる曲。いまの世界でこういう曲を聴くとじーんとしますね。

2. DSK - What Would We Do (Opolopo Remix)

6年前にリリースされたDSKのトラックを、スウェーデンの音楽的肉体的技巧派opolopoが存分にリミックスした案件。彼独自の万華鏡のような変幻自在の世界変容がたまらない。DJのときに次のつなぎ方にちょっと困りそうなユニークな曲だけど、最高すぎます。おしゃれが過ぎるね。

Swedish musical physical technicians Opolopo remixed a track from DSK that was released six years ago. A case of remixing to the fullest extent. 3. Sould of Hex - Psychic

ロンドンのDelusions of Grandeurからリリースされたのは、メキシコの２人組Soul of Hex。ディスコフロアの多幸感、光降り注ぐ感じを思い出させてくれる好トラックです。この曲が収録されたEPの名前も「Disco Permanente EP」。泣ける。フロアが恋しいね。

4. Giluuu - Voice Of Luna

ここからは、新たな出会いをもとめてbeatportの各棚を彷徨う日曜日の新譜チェックです。今週日曜の1曲目もアフロハウスから。イタリアのMoBlackからリリースされた、モザンビークの首都マプトのアーティスト・Giluuuの「Voice of Luna」です。地を這うようなベースと鋭いビートで構成された漆黒の空間が格好いい。最高。

ちょっとこれ抗えなかった。フューチャーハウスの棚で出会ったTchamiの「Buenos Aires」。このジャンルのオリジネーターの一人らしい、一歩下がった控えめさと余裕を感じさせるし、世界を旅するMVもじーんとしちゃう。

I couldn't resist this one for a minute. I came across Tchami's "Buenos Aires" on the shelves of Future House. It has an gentle feel to it, which is typical of the originators of this genre. The music video that travels around the world is also heartwarming.

6. Null815 - What's the Deal

ミニマル/ディープテックの棚で出会ったこの曲は、ニューヨークのRawsome Recordingsからリリースされた、Null815の「What's The Deal」。徹頭徹尾、一切の隙無くイケメンを貫き通す禁欲的なトラックが最高にクールです。

I came across this song on the minimal/deep tech house shelves. It's Null815's 'What's The Deal', released by New York's Rawsome Recordings . This is the intensive-cool track of the week.

【This Week's 1-pick】Giluuu - Voice Of Luna

今週いちばん印象に残ったのはこの曲でした。モザンビーク在住のアーティストの曲を聴いたのは、僕にとってこれが初めての経験かもしれません。地球儀をみると、アフリカ大陸のほぼ南端、マダガスカル島の対岸に位置するモザンビークという国について僕にはほとんど知識がなかったのですが、この曲を聴いて、マプトという街にこんなクールな曲を作る人が生きてると思うと、とても親近感がわいてきます。

This is the song that impressed me the most this week. This might be the first time for me to listen to a song by a Mozambican artist. In the globe, we'll find Mozambique, which is located almost at the southern tip of the African continent, opposite the island of Madagascar, but I had very little knowledge about the country. But after listening to this song, I found myself that It's very relatable to me to think that there are an artist alive who write this cool songs.
