こんにちは。ハウスミュージックラウンジ『秋葉原住宅』の棟梁、spinn.teramotoです。よく晴れた11月2回目の週末を過ごした東京から、今週も世界から届いた素敵新築ハウスミュージックを紹介していきます。

Hi there. I'm spinn.teramoto, the director of the House Music Lounge "AKihabara Housing Ltd." We've just spent the second weekend of November in Tokyo under clear sky and I'm going to introduce you to some great new-built house music from around the world.

ここから取り上げるのは、すべて僕が実際にダウンロード購入した曲。真剣勝負で選んだ楽曲たちです。さっそくご紹介していきますよ!

The songs I'm going to cover here are all ones I've actually downloaded and purchased. I'm going to introduce them to you right away!

1. Palm Skin Productions - The Sword Will Die

かつてはMo'Waxからもリリースしていた、Simon RichmondのプロジェクトPalm Skin Productionsの新譜が、英ブライトンのTru Thoughtsからリリースされました。BPM104で紡がれる叙情的な11分のサウンドスケープ。ビートは4分過ぎから来ますよ。

Palm Skin Productions, a project by Simon Richmond, formerly of Mo'Wax, has released a new album on Tru Thoughts in Brighton, UK. Lyrical 11-minute soundscape spun at 104 BPM. The beat comes after 4 minutes.

2. Opolopo - In the Fast Lane

スウェーデン・ストックホルムの超絶技巧派Opolopoの新曲。彼の最近のリリースは、技巧だけでなくストレートに速球を投げる感じがあってさらなる進化を感じます。強い。最高!

This is a new song by the superb technician Opolopo from Stockholm, Sweden. His recent releases give me a sense of further evolution, not only in terms of technique but also in terms of throwing straight fastballs. Strong. The best!

3. Michael Gray - Over and Over feat. Kelli Sae (Saison Remix)

ロンドンの2人組・Saisonによる、スタイリッシュでディスコテイストも香るリミックスワーク。ディスコテイストでありつつビート回りがタイトでソリッドなのが素晴らしい。

Stylish and disco-tinged remix work by London duo Saison. The beat is tight and solid with a disco feel. Great.

4. Solid Gold Playaz - Who's Playin For Ya?

英エセックスのJimpster率いるFreerangeからリリースされた、USの2人組・Solid Gold Playazのepより「Who's Playin For Ya?」。デフォームされたジャズ的モーメントをハウスの上で再構築したみたい。心が踊り、脳がスッキリします。

"Who's Playin For Ya?" from US duo Solid Gold Playaz's ep, released on Freerange led by Essex's Jimpster. It's like a deformed jazz moment reimagined on house. It makes your heart dance and your brain clear.

5. Austin Groove - Lost Your Mind

シカゴを代表する老舗ハウスレーベルLarge Musicからリリースされた、オーストラリア・バイロンベイのアーティストAustin Grooveの「Lost Your Mind」。タイトでスピード感のあるシンセリフ最高!!

"Lost Your Mind" by Austin Groove, an artist from Byron Bay, Australia, released from Large Music, one of the most established house labels in Chicago. Tight and fast synth riffs are the best!

6. Mind Street Feat. Jaidene Veda - With Me (Enoo Napa Extend Mix)

Mind Streetの「With Me」を、南アフリカ・ウムラジのEnoo Napaがリミックス。彼らしいダークでソリッドなトラックで、優しく響くJaidene Vedaのボーカルを引き立てます。

Mind Street's "With Me" is remixed by Enoo Napa of Umlazi, South Africa. The track is dark and solid in his own way, and complements Jaidene Veda's gently resonant vocals.

7. Jochem Hamerling - Speculation (Gorge Remix)

高校時代をシカゴで過ごしたというアムステルダムのJochem Hamerlingの「Speculation」を、8bitレーベルを率いるマンハイムのGorgeがリミックス。地を這うようにヘビーなディープトラック。良い!

This is a Gorge's remix of "Speculation" by Amsterdam's Jochem Hamerling, who spent his high school years in Chicago.  Gorge is from Mannheim who heads the 8bit label. A deep track that crawls on the ground. Good!

8. Local Options - The Right Direction

シカゴの2人組Local Optionsの「The Right Direction」。迷うことなく振り下ろされる重いキックが最高に格好いい。

This is "The Right Direction" by Chicago duo Local Options. The heavy kick swung down without hesitation is the best.

9. Block & Crown, Christopher Nox - Bliss

BeatportでのMASTERMIX RECORDSからのBliss

オランダのBlock & Crownによる、1983年のスパンダー・バレエの「True」を大胆にカバーした曲…というより、それを使った1991年のPM Dawnのヒット曲「Set Adrift on Memory Bliss」ネタのハウス。ネタ元の曲が好き過ぎて全く抵抗できなかった（笑）。

This is a bold cover of the 1983 Spandau Ballet song "True" by Block & Crown from the Netherlands... or rather, a house of the 1991 PM Dawn hit "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss" story that uses it. I liked the original song so much that I couldn't resist it at all lol.

10. Joyce Muniz - Mindcraft (Fouk Remix)

先週紹介したウィーンの女性アーティスト・Joyce Muniz「Flashes on the Floor」のカップリング曲。オランダ・ユトレヒトの2人組・Foukによるファンクに跳ねるビートのリミックスが心地良い。

This is the coupling track to "Flashes on the Floor" by Joyce Muniz, a female artist from Vienna, which I introduced last week. It's a nice remix with funky, bouncy beat by Fouk, a duo from Utrecht, the Netherlands.

【Track of the Week】Opolopo - In the Fast Lane

先週選べなかったOpolopoを今回は『今週の1曲』に選びました。最近さらに活動ペースを上げているOpolopoは、同じストックホルムのCrackazatと比肩する「ポップさ」を手に入れつつある気がします。これからも彼のリリースから目が離せません。

This time I chose Opolopo for "Track of The Week," as I couldn't choose him last week. Opolopo has been getting more and more active lately, and I think he's getting a "pop" sound comparable to Crackazat from Stockholm. I'll be keeping an eye on his releases in the future.
