New House Exhibition - 今週のハウス新譜チェック 6.27-6.28

ハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」棟梁のspinn.teramotoがその年の新譜をチェックしご紹介する世界の新築ハウスの展示場、「Antenna 2020」。毎週土曜日は「いつものアーティスト・いつものレーベルの新譜チェック」、そして日曜日は「いつもと違うジャンルやアーティストを探る」という方針でチェックしています。

The master of the house music lounge "Akihabara Jutaku (Akihabara Housing, Ltd.)", spinn.teramoto, checks out and introduces the new music of the year at "Antenna 2020", an exhibition space for new house music from around the world. Every Saturday, I check out the new releases from my usual artists and labels, and on Sundays, I explore different genres and artists.

ロンドンでJimpsterが率いてる信頼のディープハウス系レーベルFreerangeのニューリリースは、オランダの2人組Offshore & Coenの「The Feeling」。端正な音響空間建築の妙に酔いしれます。隙間が気持ちいい。大好きです。

2. Urban Sound Lab Presents Miss Yankey - One Less (Main Send)

これ面白い。PapaRecordsからも音源をリリースしていたUrban Sound Labが、スウェーデンから凝ったハウスをリリースする信頼のLocal Talkにジョインしてこれが1枚目のシングル。素敵曲です。

3. Wekingz - Lost My Mind (Original Mix)

うーわこれ好き好き!　Mood Funk Recordsからリリースされたクロアチア人DJ・Wekingzの歌ものハウス。ギラつくピアノリフ。何も難しくない。ひたすら好き。

いいねー。こちらはDJ Spen率いるunquantizeからリリースされた、イギリスのプロデューサー/DJ、DJ Fraktionのデビューシングル。端正で芯の通った音のひとつひとつが絡み合いクリアな空間が出現する。

Nice. This is DJ Spen-led label unquantize's release and the debut single from UK producer/DJ and DJ Fraktion. A clear space appears intertwined with each of the neat and core sounds.

5. Tibi Dabo - Komorebi （David Morales Diridim Mix）

ここからは新しいハウスとの出会いを求めて彷徨う日曜日の新譜チェックです。1曲目はこのイケメン曲。スペインのアーティストTibi Daboがcrosstownrebelsからリリースした「Komorebi」という曲を、70年代からDJとして活動している生きる伝説デヴィッド・モラレスがremix。格好いい…。

あ、これやばい。1989年にColdcutがリサ・スタンスフィールドをフィーチャリングしたヒット曲「People Hold On」のカバー。原曲が大好きなので一切抗えない。この心躍るピアノリフがたまらない。

Oh, this is lovely: This is a cover of the hit song "People Hold On" Coldcut featuring Lisa Stansfield in 1989. I love the original song so much I can't resist it at all. I love this mind-blowing piano riff.

9. Masunoji - Undercover

最後に日本のトラックメーカーMasunojiさんの「Undercover」を紹介します。こちら、直接twitterでご本人からメッセージでご紹介いただいた、彼の5曲epの曲です。華やかでクリアな感触の、アンビエントの香りのするハウス。ええ、僕がすごく好きなタイプの曲です…。

Lastly, I would like to introduce Masunoji's "Undercover." Here's a song from his 5 song ep, which was introduced to me directly by him in a message on twitter. It's beautiful, clear-feeling, ambient-sounding house. Yeah, it's the type of song I really like...

【This Week's 1-pick】Twism, Tom Novy, Wavy Dot., Karmina Dai - People Hold On

今週も多くの新しいハウスミュージックに出会いましたが、昔大好きだったこの曲のカバーには本当に心を奪われました。理屈じゃないんですよね。ただひたすら感動してしまいました。

I've come across a lot of new house music this week, but this cover of a song I used to love I was really taken aback. It's not a theory. I was just so moved by it.
