Yellow Magic Orchestraのメンバーでもあった、高橋幸宏さんの訃報に接して想像以上にショックを受けている「秋葉原住宅」棟梁のSpinnageです。この週末の東京のぐずついた天気まで、彼の死を悼んでいるように感じられます。それでも世界ではきょうも新しいハウスが生まれています。元気出して、紹介していきますよ。
I'm Spinnage, the director of "Akihabara Housing, Ltd." And I'm shocked beyond imagination at the news of the passed-away of Yukihiro Takahashi, who was also a member of Yellow Magic Orchestra. Even the dull weather in Tokyo this weekend seems to be mourning his passing. Nevertheless, new-built Houses are being created in the world today. I will cheer up and introduce them to you.

1) KPD - Clubs In NY (Mo'Cream Remix)
イタリアのプロデューサー・Mo'Creamがリミックスを手がけた、KPDの「Clubs in NY」。ホイッスルみたいなフレーズがあったりして、90年代NYガラージュハウスのニュアンスが嬉しいトラックです。

2) Saison - Suffer
ロンドンの2人組、Saisonの「Suffer」。スモーキーな質感のピアノリフが心地良いトラックです。

3) Sebb Junior Karmina Dai & Mr. V - The Menu
スペイン・グラナダのSebb JuniorがMr.Vをフィーチャリングした「The Menu」。セクシーなボーカルワークが、Sebb Juniorの透明感のあるトラックの上でメロウにきらめきます。

4) S.E.L - You Gotta Be (The Eric Powell MDFC Remix)
米・ボルチモアのQuantizeからリリースされたのは、Des'reeの名曲「You Gotta Be」の軽やかなカバー。原曲が好き過ぎて全く抵抗できなかった。
Released on Quantize in Baltimore, USA, is a light-hearted cover of Des'ree's classic 'You Gotta Be'. I liked the original song too much to resist it at all.
5) Fix (UK) - Lighthouse
Quantizeのサブレーベル・Unquantizeからリリースされたのは、イギリスのプロデューサー、FIXの「Lighthouse」。上品なサウンドプロダクションの間を縫うようにアシッドなベースラインが跳ね回るトラックです。
Released on Quantize's sub-label Unquantize is UK producer FIX's 'Lighthouse'. The track features an acidic bassline bouncing around between classy sound productions.
6) Fnx Omar, Yass - Fomalah
イタリアのMoBlackからリリースされたのは、モロッコ・カサブランカのプロデューサーFNX Omarと、パリのYassのコラボで「Fomalah」。マジカルな磁力を発生しているトラックです。耳が離せない！
Released on Italy's MoBlack is 'Fomalah', a collaboration between Moroccan Casablanca producer FNX Omar and Paris-based Yass. The track is generating magical magnetism. You can't take your ears off it!
7) Frink - Arcade
スペインのプロデューサー、Frinkの「Arcade」。ソリッドなキックに乾いたハイハット、澄んだ音色のシンセたち。静かで熱いトラックです。気に入りました。
'Arcade' by Spanish producer Frink. Solid kicks, dry hi-hats and clear-toned synths. A quiet and hot track. Liked.
8) Pig&Dan - Pull Up to The Bumper
スペインのパルマ・デ・マヨルカの2人組、Pig&Danによるグレイス・ジョーンズの1985年のヒット曲「Pull Up to The Bumper」のカバー。ゴリゴリしたベースラインが格好いい！

9) Trimtone - I Belong to U
イギリス・リーズの2人組、Trimtoneの「I Belong to U」。ハモンドオルガンも高らかに鳴り響くファンキーでライブ感あふれる仕上がりで、みんなで笑顔になれそう。楽しい！
'I Belong to U' by Leeds, UK duo Trimtone. It's a funky, live-feeling finish with a soaring Hammond organ that will make everyone smile. Fun!
10) Archie B - My Love
イギリス・オックスフォードのプロデューサー、Archie Bの「My Love」。澄んだ音色のピアノリフが畳みかける、派手なハウスで盛り上がります。
'My Love' by Oxford, UK producer Archie B. It's a loud house romp, with a clear-toned piano riff that folds in.
【Track of the Week】Saison - Suffer
今週の「Track of the Week」はこの曲に決めました。ジャジーな雰囲気の濃厚に漂わせながら、しっかり四つ打ちは踏んでいくスタイルが嬉しい。ブレークビーツの使い方も勉強になりますね…。研究しがいのあるトラックです。
I have decided on this song for this week's "Track of the Week." The style of the song is pleasing, with a thick jazzy atmosphere, while the four beats are firmly stomped on. The use of breakbeats is also nice... Everything is track worth studying.
