New House Exhibition - 今週のハウス新譜チェック 6.20-6.21

ハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」棟梁のspinn.teramotoがその年の新譜をチェックしご紹介する世界の新築ハウスの展示場、「Antenna 2020」。毎週土曜日は「いつものアーティスト・いつものレーベルの新譜チェック」、そして日曜日は「いつもと違うジャンルやアーティストを探る」という方針でチェックしています。

The master of the house music lounge "Akihabara Jutaku (Akihabara Housing, Ltd.)", spinn.teramoto, checks out and introduces the new music of the year at "Antenna 2020", an exhibition space for new house music from around the world. Every Saturday, I check out the new releases from my usual artists and labels, and on Sundays, I explore different genres and artists.

ご紹介するのは、すべて僕が実際にダウンロード購入した曲。真剣勝負で選んだ楽曲たちです。さっそくご紹介していきますよ!

I'm going to show you all the songs that I've actually downloaded and purchased. These songs were chosen in a serious competition. Let's take a look at it right away!

1. 1Farshad - Not Over

1曲目は詳細不明のアーティスト・1Farshadの「Not Over」。ご機嫌なナンバー、としか言うことがないご機嫌ナンバーです。ハウスの喜びに溢れてる。

The first track is "Not Over" by artist 1Farshad, whose details are unknown. It's a good mood number that can only be described as a good mood number. It's full of house music joy.

2. Art of Tones - Flower Child

フランスの伊達男Art of Tonesもディスコティークにカラフルな素敵新曲をドロップ。真夏の熱い夜にぴったりだ。リリースはJoey Negro率いる信頼のZ records。間違いなし。最高。

French dude Art of Tones also drops a nice, colorful new song on the discotheque style, perfect for a hot summer night. Released by Joey Negro's trusty Z records, it's a sure thing. Great.

3. Jeff Ross- Chasing Clouds (Demarkus Lewis Rainbow Vox)

スエニョ（スペイン語で夢）み溢れるこの曲は、Jeff Ross「Chasing Clouds」をDemarkus Lewisがリミックスしたもの。原曲のドリーミーさを拡張し、とろけるような真夏の夜の夢の風情です。好き。

The "Sueno (dream in Spanish)"-like vibes abound on this song, which is a Jeff Ross' "Chasing Clouds" remixed by Demarkus Lewis. It expands on the dreaminess of the original song and is a melting midsummer night dream flavor. I Like this.

4. Mo'Cream - Make It (Original Mix)

ポルトガル・リスボンのレーベルPiston Recordingsからリリースされたのは、Mo'Creamで「Make it」。これも甘く蕩ける熱帯夜の花の匂いがします。湿度が高くて温度が高い。これぞハウスのプレジャー。いいよいいよー。

Released from Lisbon, Portugal-based label Piston Recordings, this is "Make it" by Mo'Cream. This also smells like sweet, prodigal tropical night flowers. The humidity is high and the temperature is also high. This is nothing but the House music pleasure. It's good, it's good.

5. Reel People - You Used To Hold Me So Tight (feat. Angela Johnson) (Dr Packer Remix)

続いては、みんな大好き1984年のテルマ・ヒューストンのヒット曲「You used to hold me so tight」のReel Peopleによる2006年のカバーをオーストラリアのDr Packerがリミックスした曲。いい曲だよね…。

Next up was the latest version of everyone's favorite 1984 Thelma Houston hit "You used to hold me so tight" coverd by Reel People in 2006. The song was remixed by Dr Packer from Australia. It's a great song....

6. WheelUP - People

英ブライトンの素敵レコードショップでありレーベルのTru Thoughtsからリリースされた、WheelUPのepから「People」。ジャンル的にはブレークスなのかもしれないけれど、こういうのも秋葉原住宅的にはたまらない住み心地のハウスなんですよね。楽しい。

Released by Tru Thoughts, a lovely record shop and label in Brighton, UK, It's "People" by WheelUP. Maybe it's a Breaks-style in terms of genre, but this is also one kind of track I won't be able to get enough on the floor of Akihabara housing Ltd! It's very comfortable house music to live in. So fun.

7. koki - Arp4U (Rocco Rodamaal Remix)

ここからは新たな出会いを求めていろんなジャンルの棚をさまよい歩く日曜日に出会った曲を紹介します。1曲目は、東京からカナダのトロントに移って活動しているKokiことKoki Sugiyamaの「Arp 4U」の、Rocco Rodamaalリミックス。テクノ畑出身らしいRoccoの、ソリッドで射程の長い展開がボディーブロウのように効いてきます。

From here, They are songs I came across on Sundays as I wandered the shelves of various genres in search of new acquaintances. The first track is Rocco Rodamaal's remix of "Arp 4U" by Koki Sugiyama a.k.a. Koki who has relocated from Tokyo to Toronto, Canada. Rocco, who seems to be from the techno field, made a solid and long range development that affects like a body blow.

8. Tensnake - Automatic (The Aston Shuffle Remix)

「Automatic」という曲名に外れなし。この曲はドイツから届いたTensnakeの「Automatic」です。Electribe 101のことを遠い遠い記憶から思い出すような、ポップさとセクシーさが印象に残りました。

The song named "Automatic" never get worse. This song is "Automatic" by Tensnake from Germany. It reminds me of Electribe 101 from a distant memory, pop and sexy. I was impressed.

9. Chocolate Puma - Me Up (feat. Chateau)

きょうの秋葉原住宅はSpinninとかも紹介しちゃうモード。オランダの2人組Chocolate Pumaの「Me Up」。この厚みをもったピアノリフが嬉しくてね…。

Today's Akihabara Hosing Ltd is like in the mode of introducing Spinnin' records. Here is Dutch duo Chocolate Puma's "Me Up". This thick piano riff makes me happy...

10. Kerri Chandler & Troy Denari - The Way It Goes (Track 1) (Chris Stussy Dub)

2016年にリリースされたKerri ChandlerとTroy Denariの「The Way It Goes」の新作リミックス。オランダのChris Stussyによる、ボーカルを落としたディープなトラックになってます。格好いい。

This is a new version of Kerri Chandler and Troy Denari's "The Way It Goes" released in 2016, remixed by Chris Stussy of the Netherlands. It's a deeper track with lowered vocals. It's cool.

【This Week's 1-pick】Jeff Ross- Chasing Clouds (Demarkus Lewis Rainbow Vox)

「今週のピックアップ」として、この曲を上げたいと思います。クラブのダンスフロアでは様々な行為が行われます。踊る、歌う、目と目をあわせる、ドリンクを飲む、叫ぶ…。その中でも、僕はこの曲のようなハウスに包まれて踊りながら「夢をみる」のが好きなんです。東京はまだまだナイトクラブの営業は本格的には始まっていませんが、はやくまたダンスフロアで夢が見られたらいいなと心から願っています。

I'd like to raise this song as our "This Week's 1-Pick." There is a lot of action on the dance floor of a club. Dancing, singing, making eye contact, drinking, screaming.... Among them, I like to dance and "dream" while being surrounded by the house like this song. Nightclubs haven't really started operating in Tokyo yet, but I'd like to go back to the dance floor soon. I truly wish I could dream on the floor.
