こんにちは。ハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」の棟梁、spinn.teramotoです。梅雨が終わって完全に真夏モードに切り替わった7月第3週の東京から、今週もいつものように世界から届いた新築ハウスミュージックを紹介していきます。
Hi there. I'm spinn.teramoto, the director of the house music lounge Akihabara Housing, Ltd. It's the third week of July in Tokyo, the rainy season is over, and we've completely switched over to midsummer mode, and, as usual, I'll be introducing new-built house music from around the world.
ここから取り上げるのは、すべて僕が実際にダウンロード購入した曲。真剣勝負で選んだ楽曲たちです。さっそくご紹介していきますよ!

1. Dave Anthony & Lisa Millett - Be My Love (Atjazz Galaxy Aart Remix)
ロンドンのディープハウスマイスターAtjazzの手による、Dave Anthony & Lisa Millett『Be My Love』の優しくエレガントなリミックス。音の豊かさに心と身体が満たされます。
A gentle and elegant remix of Dave Anthony & Lisa Millett's "Be My Love" by London's deep house meister Atjazz. The richness of the sound will fill your mind and body.
2. Demarkus Lewis - Raw Dawgin' (Oliver Dollar Remix)
米ダラスの鉄人・Demarkus Lewisの「Raw Dawin'」を、独ベルリンのOliver Dollarがリミックス。90年代クラシックハウスの雰囲気を漂わせつつも、そこから差異化する独特の音色作りが楽しい。
A remix of Iron man Demarkus Lewis of Dallas, USA's "Raw Dawin" by Oliver Dollar of Berlin, Germany, with an atmosphere of 90's classic house and a unique tone that differentiates it from that classic decade.
3. Piem & ANNNA - 19 (Josh Butler Extended Remix)
3拍目の裏と4拍目に「パンパン」ってハンドクラップが入る曲に弱い僕なので、アテネのPiemの「19」をマンチェスターのJosh Butlerがリミックスしたこの曲も最高でした。Annnaのボーカルもめちゃ良い。
I have a weakness for songs with handclaps on the back of the third and fourth beats, so this remix by Manchester's Josh Butler of Piem's "19" from Athens was great. Annna's vocals are also really good.
4. Drive Me Wild (Opolopo Remix)
Dutch Robinsonの「Drive Me Wild」を、ストックホルムの魔術師Opolopoがリミックス。彼が愛用しているキーボード・Komplete Kontrolで軽やかにフレーズを奏でる絵が目に浮かぶ。グルーヴィで豊かな、最高曲です。
Dutch Robinson's "Drive Me Wild" is remixed by the Stockholm wizard Opolopo. I can just picture him lightly playing phrases on his beloved Komplete Kontrol keyboard. Groovy and rich, this is a great song.
5. Ron Carroll, Tom Bug - That's How Deep (Sebb Junior Remix)
Ron Carroll, Tom Bugの「That's How Deep」を、スペイン・グラナダのSebb Juniorが爽やかにリミックス。彼ならではの、真夏に心地よい透明感のあるサウンドが嬉しいトラックです。
"That's How Deep" by Ron Carroll and Tom Bug is remixed by Sebb Junior from Granada, Spain. It's a great track with his signature transparent sound that is comfortable in the middle of summer.
6. The Journey Men - The Power
ロンドンのNo Fussからリリースされたのは、イギリスの2人組The Journey Menの「The Power」。痛快なサックスソロが印象的。好き好き。
Released on London's No Fuss label is "The Power" by British duo The Journey Men, with an impressive sax solo. I like it.
7. Jesse Saunders - We Are Family (DJ Spen & Reelsoul Remix)
シスター・スレッジの超絶名曲「We Are Family」（1979）を、米ロサンジェルスの重鎮・Jesse Saudersがカバー。僕はDJ SpenとReelsoulのソリッドなビートがクールなリミックスが気に入りました。
A cover of Sister Sledge's superb "We Are Family" (1979) by Los Angeles heavyweight Jesse Sauders. I liked the cool remix with solid beats by DJ Spen and Reelsoul.
8. Disk Nation - That's The Groove
サンフランシスコのレーベルSalted Musicからリリースされた、アルゼンチン・ブエノスアイレスのアーティスト、Disk Nationの「That's The Groove」。ドラムブレークが気持ち良すぎる、その1点だけで曲ができてる。好きですそういうの。
”That's The Groove" by Disk Nation, an artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina, released on the San Francisco-based label Salted Music. The drum break is too good, and that's the only thing that makes the song. I like that kind of music.
9. Dave Seaman - Buzzfuzzle (Luke Brancaccio & Gai Barone Remix)
イギリスのリーズ生まれで、Seladorレーベルの共同設立者・Dave Seamanの「Buzzfazzle」を、Luke BrancaccioとGai Baroneがめちゃアシッドにremix。これは格好いいわ。
This is a great acid remix by Luke Brancaccio and Gai Barone of "Buzzfazzle" by Dave Seaman, co-founder of the Selador label and born in Leeds, England. This is cool.
10. Baltimore Chop - Jokin'
ロシアのレーベルSengileyからリリースされた、モスクワのアーティスト・Baltimore Chopの「Jokin'」。音の空間に程よく隙間があいている、透明感のあるトラックです。
This is "Jokin' " by Moscow artist Baltimore Chop, released on the Russian label Sengiley. It's a track with a sense of transparency, with just the right amount of space between the sounds.
11. Afronaut - How It Goes
英・ブライトンのレーベル兼レコードショップ、Tru Thoughtsからリリースされた、元Bugz in the Atticのメンバー・AfronautことOrin Waltersの「How It Goes」。さすがのブロークンビーツ捌きで魅せます。
"How It Goes" by Afronaut aka Orin Walters, formerly of a member of Bugz in the Attic, released on Tru Thoughts, a label and record store in Brighton, UK. The song is a great example of his technique how to handle broken beats.
12. Alex Ranerro - Tundra
ウクライナのレーベルWhoyostroからリリースされた、スロベニアの首都リュブリャナのアーティストAlex Ranerroの「Tundra」。ミニマルな展開にダブっぽい要素が重なる、シャープな切れ味のトラック。気に入りました。
This is "Tundra" by Alex Ranerro, an artist from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, released by Ukrainian label Whoyostro. It's a sharp-edged track with a minimalist development and dub-like elements. I liked it.
13. Kiko, Aves Volare - Cycle (Waltervelt Remix)
格好いい! Kiko, Aves Volare「Cycle」を、ブラジル・ジョインビレのアーティストWalterveltがダークかつアブストラクトにリミックス。16分音符でひたすら刻まれるベースが最高にクール。
I love it! A dark and abstract remix of Kiko, Aves Volare's "Cycle" by Waltervelt, a Brazilian artist from Joinville, Brazil. The bass chopped in sixteenth notes is the coolest.
14. Franck Roger - Deeper
フランス・パリのアーティスト、Franck Rogerの「Deeper」。ほんのりと90年代クラシックハウスの香りも漂う、ハウスミュージックという快楽のエッセンスが詰まった、聞いてて嬉しいトラックです。
"Deeper" by Franck Roger, an artist from Paris, France. With a hint of 90's classic house in the air, this track is a joy to listen to, filled with the essence of the pleasures of house music.
【Track of the Week】Ron Carroll, Tom Bug - That's How Deep (Sebb Junior Remix)
きょうの東京の最高気温は34度。真夏の暑さが、クーラーのきいた僕の部屋のガラス窓１枚の外にあります。そんな中、Sebb Juniorのこの涼を感じるトラックが印象に残ったので、『Track of the Week』に選びたいと思います。
Today's high temperature in Tokyo is 34℃/93℉. The heat of mid-summer is just outside the glass window of my air-conditioned room. In such a situation, this cool and fresh track by Sebb Junior left a deep impression on me, so I would like to choose it for the "Track of the Week."
今週は気に入った新築ハウスが多くて、いつもの1.5～2倍の曲数で紹介してきました。ハウスシーンに、1年半ぶりにまた勢いが戻ってきた気がします。ヨーロッパでは、だんだんクラブやフェスも再開しているんでしょうか。非常事態宣言下の東京は、まだそこまで行けないので羨ましい。僕もワクチン接種は第1回目の予約が8月末です。早く打ちたい!
There were so many new-built house tracks that I liked this week that I have introduced 1.5 to 2 times as many tracks as usual. Recently I feel like the house scene has regained its momentum after a year and a half. I wonder if clubs and festivals are gradually resuming in Europe. I'm jealous that I can't go there yet because Tokyo is under a state of emergency. I also have my first vaccination appointment at the end of August. I can't wait to get it!
