One year passed

The government of Japan issued a state of emergency for the third time to reduce the number of people affected by COVID-19 that tends to increase recently. Unlike a year ago, the virus that is dominant now is the variant that is said to be more infectious. The action implemented by the government is accordingly stronger than those implemented past. They prohibit restaurants or izakaya bars from providing any alcoholic drink, and cultural facilities like museums and theatres from operating. Departments are only allowed to open food floor. On the other hand, the time frame is shorter. It will be lifted on 11th May depending on the situation.

The situation seems worse than a year ago. The vaccination that is most effective to the virus is delayed compared to the United States and European nations. Now, it seems the Olympic Games in Tokyo face a crucial moment.
