Self-cleansing

Some totally forgotten memory
reappears, out of the blue.

There may remain something
that needs to be faced and cleared.

Memory seems to be working,
out of our hands.

But I believe, for us,
with more than enough proofs.

So, welcome back
and go easy with them.

What needs to be done
needs to be done.

不意に
すっかり忘れていた
記憶が蘇る

さて、どうしたものか
と思いつつ
目をそらさず向きあう

記憶というのは
人知を超えた
用きなのだろう

思いやりでもあるか、
と疑いもなく思えてしまう
数多なる証

ようこそ、
と両手を広げて
迎えよう

やり残したことや
省みることが
きっとあるのだ
