紅葉

もうそろそろ紅葉が楽しみな季節ですね〜！
そんな色づく美しい季節を英語で説明できるように
いくつかご紹介しようと思います！

# 単語たち

・Autumn leaves（紅葉）
・Autumn foliage（紅葉）
・Crunchy leaves（枯葉）
・Japanese maple（もみじ）

英語には、紅葉の直訳に当たる言葉はありません。
なので、いくつかの言い方があります。
それらの様子を表す英語です。当て字のような感じです。

Autumnは一般的にイギリス英語のなので、アメリカ英語で秋を表すFallに入れ替えても問題はありません。

・The leaves turn yellow.
葉が黄色くなる

・The leaves are changing colors.
葉が色づき始めている。

A: Hey, do you wanna go to Kyoto to see Ko-yo?

B: Hahaha, must love fall very much, huh.
（ははは、秋らぶやねんな笑）
A: Yea.

B: Let's go when it's just the best time for that, okay?

A: Absolutely. Sounds like a plan.
