第７波の高さが際立っている。この記事は、８月初めには全国で感染のほぼ100%がオミクロン株BA.5型になると予想しています。
厚生労働省は、オミクロン株に対する、ワクチン３回接種から日が経った後の効果について、発症予防効果はあまり期待できないが、入院予防効果はそれなりに期待できると書いています。
オミクロン株に対する発症予防効果については、英国健康安全保障庁（UKHSA）の報告（2022年4月21日時点）によると、ファイザー社及びモデルナ社のワクチンではデルタ株より低く、2回目接種から2～4週間後は65～70％であったところ、25週間後までには15%程度に低下することが示されています。ここで、3回目接種により、その2～4週間後には発症予防効果が60～75％程度に高まり、一時的に回復することが示唆されています。ただし、20週後以降はその効果がほぼ見られなくなるまで低下したというデータもあり、効果の持続期間については、引き続き科学的知見を収集していく必要があります。
オミクロン株に対する入院予防効果については、ワクチンの種類毎に解析はなされていないものの、3回目接種から105日以降では、18～64歳で67.4～75.9%、65歳以上で85.3～86.8%というUKHSAの報告や、3回目接種後の発症予防効果や入院予防効果は、オミクロン株BA.1とBA.2に対して同様であったとの報告もあります。
また、厚生労働省は、４回目接種の効果について、以下のように言っています。発症予防効果については触れていないので、あまり期待できないのでしょう。
オミクロン株流行下において、60歳以上の方に対する4回目接種により、死亡予防効果が得られるという報告や、重症化予防効果は、少なくとも接種から6週間経過しても3回目接種と比較して大きく低下せず維持されていたという報告があり、重症化リスクの高い方への効果が期待されています。
また、査読前の研究結果ではありますが、安全性については、4回目接種後には軽度の全身又は局所の反応が見られたものの、現時点では、重大な副反応は認められなかったとされています。
私は６０歳以上なので４回目の接種を受けることができます。しかし、この説明を見て、受けるかどうか迷っています。
薬は身体にとって異物なので、これまで同様、４回目の接種を受けるかどうかは自分で判断したいと思っています。
判断するための材料として、世代ごとの感染状況を検索した結果、愛知県一宮市の去年１２月２８日から７月２９日までのデータを見つけました（多分、随時更新していると思います）。７月１日時点の一宮市の人口は、381,245人（うち外国人7,297人）です。
このグラフで見ると、私の年代の、陽性者比率は低い。ワクチンを３回接種している人が多いなどの理由があるのかもしれません。
一宮市の統計担当者の方に感謝します。地方公共団体によって、調査結果の表示の仕方がバラバラなのは仕方がないけれど、年代別人口に対する感染率を表示しているところは、ここ以外で見つからないです。
地方公共団体に注文を付けるなら、表示方法を統一してほしい。デジタル庁は何のためにあるのでしょうか。標準化することで、作業効率も上がるのではないでしょうか。
そして、この記事によると、「厚生労働省は２２日、新型コロナウイルスワクチンの５回目接種について、秋以降、オミクロン株に対応した新しいワクチンを使って実施することを想定し、準備することを専門家による分科会に提案した」とあります。
また、この記事によると、４回目の接種を受けるべきかどうか、専門家の間でも意見が分かれているそうです。
専門家でさえ意見が分かれているので、私のような素人はどうするべきか途方に暮れてしまいます。判断材料が乏しいので、今しばらくは感染者数の状況と、５回目接種の情報を見続けたいと思っています。
なお、この記事によると、７月２９日現在、４回目の接種実績は約１千万人だそうです。接種対象者が接種を受けた率は２３％となっています。
